On my way home today
i found a butterfly
I was the butterfly
You were me.

You saw that
My wings were broken
and swooped me up
off the ground
I offered no opposition
Appreciative of the help
You had to offer me
you picked me up
out of curiosity
and something else
But what?
were you curious.
Curious to see how the wings broke
and to see if you could fix them.
or curious to see if they had broken
in the same places
as yours.
In the end the question remains unanswered
because you don't speak the language
Of us butterfly's.

press my lips
take a breath
inhale
let it take me over
to a different side
no thoughts
just in touch
a soothing feeling
take another
a little more
relaxed
a smile
eye to eye
just the touch
i get there
a high
which high
from that inhale
or that touch
both
my mind wonders
my eyes too
look up and down
a smirk dances on my lips
a gesture
signal
an indication for more
warmth pressed against me
its received
warmth in my lungs
another hit
warmth in my mouth
push for more
warmth on my stomach
push for more
warmth on that hot spot
inhale more
floating
flying
rocking
pushing
thrusting
loving
heat
passion
question
slow
stop
mistake
reality
back away
think again
inhale once more
turn away
walk
never stop

Binding agreements
empty promises
from birth
put into a system without choice
those who ask questions are shunned
those who give the answers are praised
those who break their shackles
No one knows.

There are times where
We are sitting together
And my hand
Instinctively finds your's
Normally I do not like
Being touched at all
Never a fan of hand holding
Always quick to put distance
Between myself and another
Because the contact
Was suffocating
But with you
It is different
It feels different
And the closeness
Is not a hardship to be endured
But a joy to be celebrated
Because when I look down to find your hand in mine
I smile
And know that for once
All is okay

eyes blinded by prejudice
heart numbed by hate
vile idiocy is born
a World where indifference is acceptable
and being different sparks controversy
people strive for mediocrity
always with second thoughts
but no ambition
waiting for the lights to be turned on
but never searching for the switch
We live in a world of serendipitous failure.
moonlight paints streaks
  on adolescent bodies
ocean-clad and gleaming
with their alabaster finish
impeccable
impenetrable
lay our confidences
coiled softly within our own hands
for us only
peeking every now and then
just to make sure its staying put
and like a flashlight in the sky
we are all revealed
under a light thats harsh, but forgiving
yet stranger things have
and stranger things will
come of this new moon

Today I said "stop"
and he
Listened

But when I told you
"Not today" you
Laughed

When I said
Thank you
He asked
"For what?"

And when I forced a
"No," you
Smiled a
Crooked
Smile

When I broke
Down, he lifted me
Back up to a
Laugh

And when I let out
A nervous smirk
You translated it into
"Convince me"

When I drove home
Ashamed of
Giving in, I was waiting
To meet a friend
Like him
.
your tongue rots
behind iron teeth
of ridicule and blasphemy
but ive never seen a smile
more enchanting
or inviting
