Silhouetted in the sunset, swaying in the breeze
Society claimed a debt, this man paid its fees
The man’s only crime was to steal some bread
For it was past time that his family was fed

“The man was a thief!” good citizens claim,
But what of the grief of those with his name?
“A lesson was taught. Justice has been done.”
But none spare a though for the widow and son

They are alone in a hostile town
They have no home, no place to lie down
She must assume a new role to keep them alive
Sell her body and soul just to survive

The town’s morals are safe, to their homes they return
The woman and waif are not their concern
The long arm of the law will reach out again
And it will strike sure at such luckless men
There were tales told of mighty storms that oft battered this coast.
The howling gale that struck this night was more powerful than most,
The lifeboat crews had been stood down, Who would venture out in this?
They gratefully all headed home for a night of fireside bliss

A girl stood on a towering cliff her heart was filled with dread
Somewhere in that maelstrom was the one that she would wed
The sun had shone when he’d left home before a steady breeze
A day so full of promise, but nature gives no guarantees

This normally astute sailor did not see the sky turn grey
His mind was on the woman, tomorrow their wedding day.
He was dragged back to the present by the sudden icy rain
The boat steadied, then surged forward, a ****** at the helm again

He quickly trimmed and set his sails to run before the gale
The speeding boat fighting gamely under the minimum of sail
Ten miles out man and boat still face the wrathful sea
With storm jib filled, and main full reefed he raced towards his bride to be

The man can see the lights of home, he’s just five miles from shore
With a fearsome ‘Crack’ the hull was split. Man and boat could do no more
Standing on the lonely cliff the girl sees his boat go under
She screams her pain into the night as her heart is ripped asunder

She takes a slow step forward towards the cliff edge high and sheer
Facing a life without her lover the drop can cause no fear
Her other foot moves forward, She is on the final ledge
Another tearful shuffle forward has her on the very edge

One more step. Into the void and she plummets like a stone
The sea has claimed her loved one but he shall not lie alone
As a wave approaches the stony cliff it draws a watery breath
Before crashing, straining, weeping falling above the lovers joined in death
They always come here, two in two
They're always dishonest and never true
When the sudden logic has come to you
Cut the cord, that's what you're supposed to do
Haven't you got a clue
If it's anyone I'm in love with, it's you.
You're not here anymore, talking to me has become a chore
I've become a wreck and I'm now a bore
But it's you who I will always adore
You're not here anymore and that's okay
I never loved you anyway
Because I've finally grasped onto some of the things you say
That one faithful night that evolved into the day
It makes no difference
Whether it is poet freak or Hello poetry
The sites are different
The loopholes are quite apparent
Human psyche is the same
There may be only a change in name

Good poets are every where respected
Fake poets are easily detected
Great poets are always adored
Eternal poets are highly revered

If writing poetry becomes a poet’s obsession
He tries his best to achieve perfection
The main aim of poetry is to please
Our tension it will soon release

The aim of a great poet is to instruct
But every poet’s intention is to construct
The platform for comraderie
Writing poetry is not a reverie

Poetry consoles, delights
Instructs, pleases, and relieves
Even our greatest psychic pain
Writing or reading poetry is a spiritual gain
The spelling Comraderie is wrong.I try to correct it.Or fellow poets may tell me
I am a man of great pluck
I rarely believe in luck
From the bottom I try to reach the peak
And try to know where I am weak

I know I am greater than I think I am
And try my level best to be calm and warm
And I have the courage to face any fierce storm
Encourage myself by beholding nature’s charm

I know trials and tribulations are very common
And I have to face them courageously as man
I am not worried about my life span
And try to live as best as I can

I do believe in cosmic power
And try to climb the spiritual tower
Nature gives me the ability to recollect
And soI stretch my every nerve to be perfect
I am a bunch of grapes
Squeeze me into juice
And drink me to quench your thirst

I am a tasty plantain
Peel me and swallow
Me to satiate your hunger

I am a jasmine flower
****  my nectar
Like a buzzing bee

I am huge mountain
Climb me like a mountaineer
And reach the highest peak

I am a deep valley
And ****** deep into me
To fathom my inexplicable beauty

I am a pure ******
Don’t miss my eternal kiss
Hug me like a hissing snake
And have the divine bliss
This poem is dedicated to all lovers on this VALENTINE DAY

You Are the Love that I didn't make,
The Chance for a Memory that I didn't take,
The Hint of a Feeling that I'll never know,
A Seed never Planted that can never Grow.

You Are a Passion I let slip away,
"I Love You," "I Miss You" that I'll never say,
The hint of Laughter that could have been shared,
A Secret of Lovers, had I only dared.

You Are a Dream of what could have been
If I could do over... would I miss again?
Or would I give you the Passion of Youth
A Promise, A Future, A Forbidden Truth?

I know that I'll never awaken to see
You lost in your Dreamland, right here next to me.
So memories of Kisses are all that I hold
You are a story can never be told.

I had a chance that I didn't take
You Are the Love that I didn't Make.
