William Butler Yeats
I HEARD the old, old men say,
"Everything alters,
And one by one we drop away."
They had hands like claws, and their knees
Were twisted like the old thorn-trees
By the waters.
I heard the old, old men say,
"All that's beautiful drifts away
Like the waters."
shy
he tells me peaches are purple
he tells me the sky is black
he tells me veins are green
he tells me people are blue
he tells me he is fiery in love
and i'm too shy to ask
"in who"

Not-So-Superman
Her heart beat was a war drum.
It bumped and thumped,
as soldiers marched forward
to die for something they loved.

It's sound was a hum of life
such as the crashing of waves
as they break upon the shore
it lied in the beauty
of dependable repetition.

With every contraction
it delivered life.
One would've expected
the burden to be too great,
after all it's not always
that a heart must beat for two.

My hands sweat and shake
due to the nervousness of
holding something dear.

Not-So-Superman
Oh symphony of swirls sweet and sour,
Sing of simple solutions to a broken heart.
Save me oh saint and savior of sullen souls
Save me so my soul may survive another battle.
nothing much just jotting down thoughts~~~

you and i,
we are open
hearts on
hardwood
floors and
we step lightly
for fear of
unsettling the
room. one
day, though,
we will
no longer
be afraid
and we will
pick up
everything we
left sitting
out, and i
will hand you
all that i
have with
the knowledge
that you will
never drop
it, never lose
it, never take
it for granted.
i like knowing
that someday
i will be safe
with you.
"I still believe
that, you know.
That one day
we'll be
together."

Poetic Injustices
It's a sad day when a single flower doesn't know her contributive worth
Does she not know she's as beautiful as every other flower here on Earth?
Why would a brand new fresh blade of grass feel decay
When you can't help but to feel hope at the very sight of it's neon green shade?
