We walked through endless miles
at times we thought we could never make it
but through it all we would take it
and kept our dreams where love shines and smiles

We took the tears of our yesterday

but deep down it was hard to pretend

but still couldn't let your love show

What would it have to take
for us all to see
what together our dreams would make
where do you think we'd be
if we all sang in harmony
to burn a flame in a candlelight
and know what we are doing is not right

When we look at another just to fight
do you think to **** another
will heal the heart of a mother
to say it's all for the love of God's glory
and was written in His final chapter
at the end of His story
when there's nothing left for us to wake

Do you believe it will make it alright
when you got a life in your control
or do you care to even know
that it could be your sister or brother
looking through a barrel of a loaded gun
to know he's going to die young
where you pull the trigger on the run

Do you believe this is where we belong
under a blood sky bleeding the sun

when our children all die young
afraid to look and face another day
when violence is only heard in a song
in places where they all use to play

We all speak the word of Peace

will you comfort their fear
through each and every nightmare
with passion that you care

When it's hard for someone to try
will you reach out your hand
with times of a weary season
or just close your eyes
so you won't have to see

or bring them a piece of paradise

When you feel another heart die
will you comfort through the pain
or will you just turn away
without even asking why
to leave them there only in despair
or will wipe their tears to dry

Will you only need a reason
to help another when they fall
to answer their prayers when they call
and do what Creator expects from us all
to brighten up another's day
and show that together we'll stand
where love will always remain

the beat of a new song
can you feel the magic
with the wake of a new dawn
do you feel the rhythm
as one by one we dance
to a life so majestic
do you feel the Spirit
moving from within
taking us to a place we belong
can't you see the logic

before it is all gone
that to forgive is not to forget
but to move on
