I start hinting about the pain,
You still don't get it,
Anger builds up inside me,
Then it turns to sadness.

I can't breathe,
Tears fill my eyes,
I fall to the floor,
I can't stand being around anyone,
I'm dying on the inside.

But what do you care,
You'll just keep ignoring me.

no one cares,
I buy you a drink,
You chug it down,
You leave me at the table.

I sit there the whole night,
I wonder what I did wrong,
I am numb, empty and can't move,
I get up and walk home.

I chug a bottle of *****,
Walking gets harder,
Vision gets blurry,
I wake up on the road,
And I will do it all again.

the fever of the evening comes upon us
and again we find ourselves into the cups
half drunk, half in love, but never full enough
and the words we discuss

cut

revealing fresh blood, warm to the touch
the taste of salt and iron on the tongue
speaking what we whisper in our waking lives
with a certainty that would make sober hands

tremble

as I listen I can feel your potential
in subtle pauses and hope soaked syllables
I do not want this night to weigh upon us
I do not want your words to mean nothing

tomorrow

the morning sun will rise, whitewashing drunk lies
do not allow these dreams of other lives to die
for every second you wait is but another grain
escaping your grasp into the abyss of time

live
I love you and I'll forgive you for leaving

My eyes see you,
I see you,
But you don't see me.

I can pretend to be okay,
I just don't know if I can all the time.

Then pretending ending when I started crying,
Everyone starring,
You rushed over gave me your jacket,
You hugged me until you got yelled at,
Everyone started to look at me differently then.

I'm fine,
It's ok,
But I can see your eyes are full of pain.

It all changed in an instant.
You realized the sparkle in
her eye is her tears,
Her carefree attitude actually
reflects how much she
really doesn't care.
About you,
or anything at all.
