Pen's Intonation
kdpgrahi Oct 2010
While I sit down to write
My pen begins to talk
What are you ding my friend
You resemble a hawk

You have a long agenda
to fix something up
Never trying to find
only eccentrically burp?

The Suns, Moons you see
Can never be your friend
You are quite alone
over the battle ground

Time have come
to make your skin thick
Strengthen your body
to give hard kick

All these talks
made me to smile
pen seems very smart
walks a more mile

Agendas are to undo
battles are history
for my beloved pen
it is a mystery

World has moved
faster than my pen
Sun.Moon are in my net,
and listed as my fan

I pity my poor pen
Preparing to face a ban
we are in motion
Just no battles
Only a final Annihilation

The Unsurveyed Geography
kdpgrahi Jul 2010
I do not understand where to start
and where to end
I always wander
never mind if it is straight
or bend

To whom to ask
how far it is going
water water everywhere
and still rowing?

I am tinged with
a mischievous mind
still I do not understand
what to find

The Far Away Resort

I want a place where sidewalk ends
The roads are straight and no bends
The Grass grows tender soft and white
The Sun burns gentle crimson bright
The moon-bird rests from its dreary flight
the peppermint wind blows
cool and slight.
It is a pasture wide and green
I am looking and looking for it
And yet to be seen

Let me be free and go past
from where the black smoke
rules the roost
Dreams are shatterd and
Hopes go bust
the streets are full of pits
the Potholes are allowed to grow
let me walk a walk however
measured and slow

The Dawn
kdpgrahi Jan 2011
When dawn unfolds on a town's older region
Sunrise crawls across cobblestone streets
Autumn break speaks its opening greets
I say an urban dream world comes into vision

I walk these archaic avenues alone
Following the lead of my oversized shadow
Astringent cold awakens my face and neck
While a glinting sun slowly pats my back

Past gothic fencing and cream-colored brick
Concrete bridges veined with vines
Damp shades of wood stare from the park
A fountain shines at the heart of the square

The muffled click of claws against curb
From blackbirds prodding the lower scenery
Shares the air with benevolent fumes
Of bakery bread and chimney smoke

Porch lights fading in soft succession
The radius of light extends its exuberance
Reflections expanding in dark shop windows
The first opened door soon taints the silence

In time the usual routines exude
An old piece of map slowly stirs to life
Another new chapter from torn, yellowed pages
Is resurrected into a tangible shape & stripe

The Reluctant Rain
kdpgrahi Jul 2010
When mushrooms grow and frogs crow
There seems a rush of water
between to separate bodies

The sky is sparkled
with an unprecedented glow
when one curls around the other
ignited  to explore
and somewhere to plough

It is frogs and mushrooms
that herald the day
Nobody minds how long it lasts
Never finds if it's  sea or bay

When the color of blood
reluctantly turns to be blue
The glimmering eyes
finally try to see what may be the clue

The Road Unbeaten
kdpgrahi Sep 2010
The Road ahead I prepare to travel
Full of holes and moles  between metal and gravel
Replete with a series of frightening bumps
I have to drive anyway over the stumps

Roads are lonely and instill awe
Never tell the  journey leads to where
Most often tend to paint  despair
Makes one bewildered how to care

The hope of meeting an exotic fairy
not bothering the journey how dreary
Hope and expectations keep us moving
meeting somebody so caring and loving

The road becomes lengthened
and Goal post is far from sight
still I have no choice but to cross the bend
to continue the journey with all my might

Morning Blues
kdpgrahi Oct 2010
Hot steams curl up from the cup
the paled tea has a smile
hiding somethign mischievous
As if a flood flashed in the Nile

Giggles from the newspapers have their wink
It is to spruce up? But no more than a sink
the weather is inclement with a cover of cloud
Sun is burried inside, my mind under a shroud

Something fishy is around the corner
And serious topics on the back burner?
Just wondering where I have to go
to-day is as usual or special
I have to know

She leaned towards me
and asked to what I am up
Nothing Hunny,
It is the storm in my tea cup

Redeeming the Soul
kdpgrahi Oct 2010
Me and my soul
Both are very cool
Two separate phenomena
Working together
In a single arena

When you talk to me
Both hears
No sooner it is replied
Me's mouth is amplified
Soul seems to be hidden
It's whispering voice is forbidden

Me and my voice
plugs the souls' choice
Let the society sharpen its ear
To make  heard the souls' whisper

Warping of Age
kdpgrahi Oct 2010
Breeze is very gentle
Opening her hair
Dazzles under the sky
Her face is made to be fair

The dress is of pink
Flowing into the wave
Waiting for a wink
And nothing to save

Wrinkles on her forehead
Tried to be waived
No matter the crumples on the skin
Tried not to be seen
Her ***** is set to be curved
Water-tightly  strung
Feeling her heart is still young
Still groping for a rose
To fix over her head and
Make a new pose

That is their Fault
kdpgrahi Sep 2010
I do not know for how long
I am standing here,
alone all by myself
All are shamelessly coming and going
just in my front, to and fro and fro and to
I can not help
It is their fault.

At times somebody stops
Looks at me
askingly,perplexed,
and casts a giddy frown
nose curled eye brow upped?
I can not help
It is their fault

I can not understand
The passersby's wantonness
the scandalous carelessness
their sheer idiocy
What to me that's their fault

Finally some vagabond
hurtled to me with impunity
asked me why my dress is no more
my  body is bare
the hair disheveled
the chest bone is nakedly visible
I exclaimed,
looked to me
more closely, intimately
Is it to be ashamed of?
After all it is not me
Not at all I swear
It is their fault

Shangri-La
kdpgrahi Aug 2010
When I look at you curiously you are at the horizon
I muster courage to be closer bewildering to walk or run
I always seem to be at the same distance unable to catch up
Trying, trying and trying hard to cover up, and to make a patch up
You are standing alone at the far end
Not seeming to move
Like an hermit without family or friend
No motion or inertia and nothing  ever to prove?

Who made you such strong and whence your strength?
How you weather the Sun and Rain and maintain the length?
Do not grudge anything and tell me the secret
I ever longing to be with you, to close the bracket

The Morning
kdpgrahi Jan 2011
It is already late
The city is still covered with
a veil of thick fog
Two lives are just separating
from an effusive knotted hug

The Sun is said to be lazy
A lively breeze is inciting
a fire,under the inertia
the body is aching
Eyes ever beguiled, are hazy
And my inside?
something thrilling is moving
The question I am hammered with
"What are you doing?"

At the Sea
kdpgrahi Sep 2010
I am at the sea, uninvited and frantic
To be one with it like Mississippi with Atlantic
standing all alone  undecided and uncertain
Like the unaccustomed soul of a man

Perplexed with its charming mischief
of swelling heavy, harsh and rough
I am at its mercy of finding a clue
When at times it is boisterous
With white crests but serene
Often calm and blue

The tread wind gets into my blood
fills with an impatience
for the unknown
Billows stretching around
Causing forget the vanishing youth
yearning a desire for life
But the Sun setting at the horizon

Fleecy clouds at the far end
A sense of sand and mound
Only some melancholy gulls around
Nothing more but a desolation, brooding
It is an empty desert
With a vague foreboding ?

The Haunt
kdpgrahi Sep 2010
From nowhere she is kind to appear back
my heart was beating in my neck
and every itch which turned and burned
More and more to be learned

I wanted her to flow like a liquid
Over my whole body from top to the heel
the coldness which I can find
A sense of freshness and rejuvenation I feel

She haunted not as a face but a feeling best,
no figures, no icons, only a warming taste.
A cool breeze from the ocean
A thrilling never before seen

I figure your fingers down my spine
Please make me yours, i'll make you mine
The world will find two feelings entwined
The song of life better rhymed

Near The Shore
kdpgrahi Dec 2010
Thinking to go? The way is long and drear
Better be happy  stay where you are
The fortune is that rules the watery waste
To be wise do not make it haste.
To change a way for one of fear
And those who leave shore can return never.

You feel the waves are asleep
And lost the word they are supposed to keep
No, even when they don the snow
when night is by
Can rise In battle against the stormy sky
They not to betray the trust
Stay put where you are and embrace the best.
