Envelope me when I am cold
Love me with that soul so old
Bringing forth the fruits of peace
My feelings flow. Will this flurry cease?

Arrested at the sacred banks
I keep forgetting to offer my thanks
At the healing springs, growing glittered wings
Above fertile fields where marigolds sing

Teach me how to free my being
From reaching, clinging, do I refuse to see?
The answers that float right by
The answers that help me to cry

I shed the withered leaves of false belief
And humbly, like an ancient crow, I fly

Waking up, big yawn
Grapefruit sky, ahhh dawn
Open wide
What’s inside?

Something’s glowing in there
I really hope you’ll share
That magnanimous heart
Thump thump, it’s off the charts

Let it hold your mind’s hand
Yes- the one in your brain
Your head’s getting bigger
You have a brand new mane

Stretch those sturdy hind legs
Just like a grande plié
Lick your paws, flick that tale
Don’t forget your red cape

Give love to the window
The Sun’s rays peaking in
They chatter- so giddy
Those photons of light…

They known you’re gonna win.

With divine eyes expanding past this cerebral hemispherical union
Beyond mammalian drive or philosophical knowing
A view of what is, could be, and will-

A will tethered to a spine of electric vitality
Spiraling the secrets of wisdom, not so secret,
Sacred and free- one step ahead or one step behind

Many days, this friction combusts into anger and fear
For what is not. How many trials until it sticks
This cause, this effect, is nothing compared-

Compared to the ease of knowing
When to leap off the cliff and plant the staff and
Turn your back or bare your chest in glorious availability

Iris traipses beyond the threshold of knowledge
Trickling her rainbow dew drops onto my neck and cheeks
Allowing trust to speak over the screams of doubt.
