To my anonymous lover
JoAnn Jun 2017
The morning stars are dimly lit
                          The day awakening
                                             Brings light speeding by
The afternoon sun growing hot and steamy
                          Calling for siesta
                     Heavy sweating and lustful daydreaming
The evening clouds abound to dance
Keeping vigil over our final chance
While watching the earthbound at a distance
The night grows sleepy and awake
For those that repose is hell bent
                     So our minds must contend
So never fear your being here is clear
The Essence that keeps this all going
Shares your joy and all knowing

Who – my ears want to hear
     her name spoken
          only in silence
What – my mind questions
     is the reason
          for this untimely hot season
Why – my heart asks
      Is she so tormentingly
          beguiling
When – for us
     will the clock toll
           happily ever after
Where - whispers my soul
       will this journey begin
               finally together

A brick house in deed she is
caressing my neck so sweetly she breathes
Her serenades immature and young
still I love hearing her sound
Dancing through the measures high and low
Tapping the beat over a bridge I bow
Her neck smooth and delicate
my precision touch she allows
patience and loyalty to her I owe much
by practicing and practicing I will conquer her heart
as we dwell next to each other oh, this challenging art

You make the/my heart sing,
You make the/my mind dream,
    You make the/my thoughts extreme…

You make the/my questions know,
You make the/my answers grow,
You make the/my ‘being’ flow…

You make the/my intellect aware,
You make the/my ignorance disappear,
You make me feel unique…

You make the/my world a wonder,
You make the/my cosmos flutter,
You make the/my galaxy shudder,

You make the/my darkness disperse,
You make the/my light ignite…
You make the/my life a mess!

It could be love – it could be lust – whatever it leaves my heart in the dust

To choose a life of passion and play – perhaps hedonistic and cray cray

Can’t help myself I hate to say – a maddening emotion I’ll keep at bay

Like the accumulating timestream experience of all – a soulstream evolving awaiting the fall

Yet in the moment is the place of power – let us not waste a second a minute or an hour

Patience a virtue I can’t understand – wondering the necessity of it my friend

Your sweetness is a joy to behold – your voice soothes like a gentle scold

Your eyes strikingly aware – melts my heart with a glance I’m laid bare

Enough janefoolery I’ll be done - just wanted to thank you – this is great fun

Roses are many hues,
Violets are well purply blue,
They say love is a many splendored thing,
I say lets have a rip roaring fling!

Hiding deep in the shadows of my mind

I search for your gaze your touch your recognition

Come let’s play and sing and dance among the trees the caves the breeze

Holding you close the scent of your skin filling my emptiness

Kissing your mouth quenching my thirst with your liqueur

My senses revved up on high alert as we fly and flirt

Blasting off soaring above the earth racing to the stars

Finding our enlightened planet which is for us dessert

Do not despair idle mind of dreams

That someday maybe dreams are things

Dream on wistful dreamer dream on…

maybe...
JoAnn Jun 2017
Maybe it’s the spirit/psyche’ of you       that has me all twisted up

Maybe the sound of you                          speaking to my soul

Maybe the sight of you                            a recognition of past delight

Perhaps the smell of you                 awakening in my brain a familiar rush

Suppose touch and taste                          aren’t what they seem

no matter now or later                             it’s all a lucid dream

— The End —
