Manifested
I’ve been searching for some time
To find a way to ease my mind
Along the way on down the line
I hope to find it in my prime

I focused in on my abilities
To create something that this world needs
I put it out there to be received
Then revealed my true identity

I’m a man with thoughts
With big ideas
I think so loud
That no one hears

The information
The creation in my head
Manifests itself
But it’s form I can’t defend

From vision quests
To shaman’s spells
What’s done is done
So I’m compelled

My greatest hope
My uncertainty
To be knocked back
Into obscurity

To fail and fail and fail and fail
Before catching wind and setting sail
The heart is in the journey

The Sky Is Gold
I go to where geese are free to roam
Where peace sets in and sundowns glow
Where water glistens and flowers grow
A place I choose to call my home

I go to where the sky is gold
Where the trees lose leaves as they grow old
Fallen orange, brown, and leaves of red
A perfect place to lay your head

Scorned
The country was in shambles
The administration torn
He tried to spread his knowledge out
And claimed that they’d been warned

He lost all of his composure
He begged to be reborn
He couldn’t keep the standard up
So he was ridiculed and scorned

You stir up the fun in my fondue
To dip into my waiting arms
And hold the whole night through
You garner my attention
My eyes are stuck like glue
It’s my only motivation
To be in love with you

For A Moment’s Time
‪Lust and passion coincide‬
‪When two lovers kiss‬
‪Hand in hand, side by side ‬
‪Thankful they exist‬
‪Together for a moments time‬
‪In universal bliss‬
‪And when the two do separate ‬
‪It’s every minute missed‬
‪Sinful thoughts do take place ‬
‪When hearts beat in a pounding chest‬
‪And what may seem like an eternity ‬
‪Often gets addressed‬
In the height of their euphoria
They stop and get undressed
And they’re bound by when their worlds collide
Or if their problems still persist
But what may come as no surprise
Each can coexist
For in their mind
They become one
In pure subconsciousness
Trigger Warning⚠️

It’s beauty always fades
Is what someone often says
In an effervescent haze
Hiding their never ending pain
You’ve got to batten down the hatch
As days burn faster than a match
Then grab tight and give a pull
So that you become attached
No lofty expectations
No fleece covering your eyes
Just tremendous palpitations
Before you say goodbye
To the world of hypocrites
And you, yourself, are one
You can end it all just like your friend
Looking down the barrel of a gun
Send a bullet through your skull
End the monotonous delay
Call it out for what it is
Call a ***** a *****
Or stop playing the victim
Make your word your bond
Find something you like doing
Go out and look beyond
Don’t let obstacles dissuade you
Where there’s a will there is a way
Embrace determination
Why not start today?

Fleeting As It Goes
A caducous of petals
Fallen from a rose
Harboring its fragrance
Just beneath my nose
Wafting up my nostrils
Not that I oppose
An endless sweet aroma
Fleeting as it goes
Back to vast locations
Though the proximity is close
Rising to the Sunday sun
Drinking from a hose

The Grassy Knoll
The Grassy Knoll

I fell into a deep sleep on the grassy knoll in the field
With the wind rustling the leaves of the trees in spring
Leaves of yellow, orange, and gold
As the leaves danced with the breeze in perfect harmony
I slept, and I dreamed
I dreamt of the leaves in the springtime 🍁
I seldom write poems without rhyming the words. This was an attempt to do so.

Top Secret
The secrets in the trash-bin
Torched and set ablaze
Things that make your head spin
You’d simply be amazed
The lengths that people go to
To hide all from others view
And once the fires’ started
There’s no more that you can do
The questions go unanswered
As does the knowledge go untold
In the search for more intelligence
The truth dies in the trash-bin
With the secrets that it holds

After Us
After us came loneliness
After us came grief
After us came melancholy
But it brought me pure relief
I longed for our departure
I longed for inner peace
I longed for the setting sun
That fades into the sea
I hurried to my calling
To the echo in the night
That rang inside my eardrums
And took away my sight
I ran to it with eagerness
To consume my inner soul
So that the darkness that surrounded me
Could take over control

Engulf
The fire is growing, owning the land
Community together
Walking hand-in-hand
To the shores
To safeties claim
I’d stake my rights
If all the same
From every direction
People make their way
Under orange skies
And a not so distant flame
Burning, churning, thirsting
Soaked and overcome
Engulfed in the fires path
Affecting more than some

Gold
Through words; cannot be told
Heaven in a sunset

The sun hovers in jest
Suspended in perfection
Yet, bound for the wide west

Secret looks
A passing glance
A goodbye kiss
And sweet romance
Warmth where there is bitter cold
Busy laying traps
To catch the beast inside of me

Walking down the winding road
Fighting through the fog
I was lost; beside myself
Until you come along

My Minds Scenario
My Minds Scenario

I write because the moments right
A write to heal my soul
To vent all of my frustration
And to clear out some room to grow

I’m passionate about the way I feel
When I relinquish my control
It lets me hold on to something real
And embrace my pain and sorrow

If I hold on to it for too long
I start to feel real low
I need some way to release it
And to let my feelings show

Some people look to self medicate
Others hit skid row
But I’m not going down that path
In my minds scenario

So I write down everything I think
To help learn what I don’t already know
Maybe there’s something that clicks
That I learned so long ago

To walk amongst the peerless clouds

Trophies, medals,
Certificates
I want it all to boost my confidence
The feeling of triumph and joy
To rise above;

The sound as such, it leaves you wanting more
Powerful, not unlike a lions roar

Seemingly forever

By seducing Mother Nature

A painful assertion

What’s this odd color that had become misconstrued?

With a new baby blue on the soles of my shoes

Blip On The Radar
I sleep with one eye open
Still I get no rest
Regarding my flaws
To which I detest
I see myself from the outside
As well as within
The spiral, the downfall
Within my own skin
I border intellectual
Yet, I’m dumb as a rock
I fly my own journey
Far away from the flock
Yet, I clip my own feathers
I disable my will
If I were a fish, I would drown
Despite having gills
I envision there’s heaven
I contemplate hell
I flipped in a penny
At the old wishing well
But the penny had value
Where my wishes had none
I shy away from the moonlight
Just to stare at the sun
It’s good versus evil
It’s the battle within
In my chest there is heartache
So I counter with sin
I use words as my weapon
I throw daggers, throw darts
I aim at the bullseye
And I finish what starts
I’m persistent and ******
I dig deep, go too far
I threw out my filter
And I counted the stars
I counted 1 million
Which seems like a lot
But it’s only a fraction
Of the gone and forgot
Just a blip on the radar
In the existence of time
Yet, I feel like a legend
Inside my own mind

Down By The River
Down by the river shore
Where old tales come alive
It sends shivers down my spine
And dreams wither up and die
There’s a story of a lovely woman
That rises from deep depths
And grants fishermen’s wishes
That are seldom ever kept
She whispers little lies
That the fishermen want to hear
And she works on their emotions
That often stem from fear
Her beauty is seductive
Her powers well in tune
To men that come from all around
But leave us way too soon
She promises them good fortune
That they’d catch fish as big as whales
But let this be a warning;
A cautionary tale
Her veins are filled with venom
Her heart rotten to its core
She’ll gobble up all the weak
And be still left wanting more
So beware of where you cast your hooks
In lakes, rivers, and streams
And be sure not to underestimate
The secrets that men keep
