Navy Man
As they say “parting, is such sweet sorrow”

What will she do when he leaves her come tomorrow?

He might be their‘s, but he’s only theirs to borrow

While he’s away, she’ll  be empty, she’ll  be hallow

A kiss, a kiss
Was the thing that they most missed

While away, every day
Protecting their homeland

She prayed, she prayed
To protect her Navy man

And on the day of his return
She scurried to the base

To meet her man, to meet her man
And kiss him on his face

When their eyes met, when their eyes met
He took her by the hand

And kissed her deep with all his might

Under the moonlight, on dry land

A day unlike any other day
Arrived as quick as could be

A reason to rejoice had come
Expecting a new baby 👶🏻

Their love for one another
Had produced a baby boy

And this affair between two lovers
Ended with great joy

Paint The World
I want to paint the world
In pigments and in hues
A multicolored planet
With fascinating views

I want to paint the world
I want to make a splash
Like painting off-white covered mountains
And shades of green for grass

I want to paint the world
The roses, scarlet red
With a dash of yellow lightning
To electrify and spread

I want to paint the world
It’s the least that I can do
Light brown grains of sand
And the sky and water, blue

I want to paint the world
To help stimulate our minds
Pleasing with our vision
And pleasant to our eyes

I want to paint the world
Under different shades of light
And photograph with pictures
The colors shining bright

Side By Side
I’ve walked on down the corridor
I’ve knocked on every single door
To find out the whole truth and more
But all I get are questions that have no answers
I talk until my face turns blue
But that has nothing to do with you
It’s cold but my body’s staying warm
I reach out to touch you, my dear
There’s no need for fright or fear
I love you, and that’s the entire truth
You’re the essence of my forgotten youth
That keeps me sane and grounded towards the future
You have my heart and pull my strings
My angel with her angel wings
Your good nature overwhelms me
I see the light in the darkness now
I never thought when, why, or how
I’d ever find contentment
With you and I side by side
My head held high and full of pride
That’s how you’ll always be remembered
Forever till the day I die
I’ll wipe your tears each time you cry
Until every tear turns into a smile
That’s my single mission in life
To bring you joy, instead of strife
It’s all I can do to repay you
For everything you’ve done and do
And I thank you for the person I’ve become

The Renified Renaissance
He’s accepted his condition
That’s hindered his ambition
Putting on an exhibition
Rooted deep within tradition
He takes on all opposition
Then redefines the definition
Making his own rendition
Using verbal ammunition
Thoughts he’d hide away from others
Which contradicts his inhibition
There isn’t that much thought involved
It’s his own conscious decision
To spread the love, the vision
Of an unsigned Welsh musician
That’s still overcoming obstacles
And put in an unwanted imposition
Yet, he continues on his mission
Turning dreams into fruition
Rising tides so big, they’re renvolutionized
Based in facts, not superstition

Amorous Glances
Stealing amorous glances
With my object of desire
Levitating in euphoria
Over an open fire
Until I feel its warmth
Until ecstasy’s achieved
Till the fire gets so hot
The flames forget to breathe
Until the fires out
Taken by the breeze
A ghost of its former self
That goes away and leaves
Vanished out of sight
Never again seen
Only bits and pieces
Of a long forgotten dream

Move Past Your Past
Forge ahead to the your golden years
Leave the past behind
Where trouble brews and paid dues
Get the best of you you’ll find
Do not dwell on past regrets
Make new experiences your fix
Where the magic is in your attitude
Not made up parlor tricks
Forgive and move on, to a life to call your own
If pathetic was the word used, at a time you felt alone
Do not be misguided
Instead, fulfill your dreams
Because the past can only
bring you down
And drop you to yours knees
Resentment is the devils tool
To lead you far astray
Give in only to your latitude
And pray you find your way

Pleasing music to my ears

Disarray
The world’s in disarray

But, be it as it may

The earth still spins around

Despite the poor display

Where hate now reigns supreme

Instead of chasing after dreams

Where colors can divide

And nothing’s black and white,

Only gray

Be it as it may

He loved and lost
But still adored

When you leave me at the alter

Hidden in the woods
On branches on the trees
An in tone singing sparrow
With fresh new melodies
He sings a valid love song
Something soft and sweet
But, so that all can hear him
Like the mate he hopes to meet
In clear skies under sunshine
He sings his melodic tune
That echos in the passing breeze

Hide And Seek
The floor began to fall away
I was overcome by fear
Falling into oblivion
Void of any tears
Except for a single teardrop
That found its way onto my cheek
Which would’ve been a nightmare
If I was asleep
But I hadn’t any slumber
And I was playing now for keeps
Before I knew it, I was in a hole
Exactly 6 feet deep
Staring at the reaper
Who I knew had come to reap
I knew if I surrendered
I would have to take that leap
So I pleaded my way out of my own death
Who says that talk is cheap?
And now I’m afraid to close my eyes
For what I fear that I might see
And a blink takes on new meaning
As does a game of hide and seek

Falling Away
Pieces of her fell away
Happens more each and every day
Bit her tongue for everything that she had to say
Got pushed aside even though she wasn’t in the way

It’s a cycle, it’s a travesty
It’s a ******* mystery
How every outpost blew up from a live grenade
From here to there all up and down the freeway

It’s a war zone, it’s a free range
It’s taking cover when the law breaks
When animals get a fair shake
There’s only so much more that she can take

She never spoke up;
She kept inside all her suppressed rage
She walked right out of her birdcage
Into bright lights and a grand stage
When all she wanted was a fair wage

It’s a cycle, it’s a travesty
It’s a ******* mystery
How every outpost blew up from a live grenade
From here to there all up and down the freeway

From the city, to the government
They dictate how our lives are spent
Overcast and the skies are gray
Above our land as the world decays

If this was a book, I would turn the page
If the color of skin turned from brown to beige
Would this be handled in the same way?
But even then, it’s too hard to gauge

It’s a cycle, it’s a travesty
It’s a ******* mystery
How every outpost blew up from a live grenade
From here to there all up and down the freeway

She doesn’t cough when she talks
She doesn’t shimmy when she walks
She don’t judge, and she don’t speak
She just nods her head and agrees

For fear of something that might be said
Don’t look now, but she wound up dead
Over something in the paper that she thought she read
Hit the ground from a bullet traveling through her head

Pieces of her fell away
Happens more each and every day
Bit her tongue for everything that she had to say
Got pushed aside even though she wasn’t in the way

It’s a cycle, it’s a travesty
It’s a ******* mystery
How every outpost blew up from a live grenade
From here to there all up and down the freeway

It’s a war zone, it’s a free range

It’s a cycle, it’s a travesty

How every outpost blew up from a live grenade
From here to there all up and down the freeway
It wasn’t long before I was lost
Even though I had the address
It’s the reason why I broke out in hives

When I turned the corner
The streets looked all the same
And it seems I was on the only street on earth

There’s little warmth from a setting sun
I’m broken in more ways than one
The seasons change, and time grows thin
Still, I remain in my own skin
I aim to see the break of dawn
I wish on stars, then ****, they’re gone
So I’m gonna wait till they return
And give away what should be earned
A heart of gold, a caring thought
But they say that love cannot be bought
So I wait within a moments time
But the punishment does not fit the crime
So I think and introspect
And console my heart and it’s neglect
I ponder all the time in which I spent
Investing in the tears I’ve wept
The constant lies and disrespect
All the promises I’ve made and kept
I am no doormat or fawner for you
And I will not accept my number 2
I must come first, second to none
So I may feel the warmth of the setting sun
