Sunshine on a myriad of sunflowers
Stretching out and rising
to endless bright blue skies
Happy lengthy flowers
In a yellow pedal sea
Existing on this planet
Just like you and me
Fields and fields of blossomed belle
Enamored with the sun
Basking in its radiance
Each and every one

He was catharsis with his paintings
He creatively reached release
Then he’d infuse it with the paints he used
And he painted what he pleased
Whether landscapes or a portrait
Or an abstract just the same
All express emotions
Like the love, the joy, the pain

A flower grows through concrete
A kitten wanders by
It’s now fixated on the flower
Without rhyme or reason why
The kitten smells a fragrant scent
It paws the flower near its nose
To get another subtle whiff
Of what was posing as a rose 🌹

She’s inspiring
She’s insatiable
She’s the dream of every man
She has a creative mind
She’s a special kind
Eccentric, cause she can
She’s a beauty nonetheless
With freckles and a chest
She’s as fierce as summers heat without a/c
She’s a feisty tigress cat
With claws for her to scratch
And she makes reality
Into what was once a fantasy

Lost in the eyes of a tigress
No sudden moves to show fear
Mustn’t lose sight or eye contact
Praying that she’ll disappear
But there by the side of the tigress
A woman with light colored hair
And eyes just as intense as a tigress
Amazed by her beauty, I just stop and stared

There’s magnificence in broken ice
Crystallized carousel of bits
Shards and little fragments
That cover the abyss  
A creation made by nature
That doubles as an art
Layer after layer
Drifting miles apart
Melting at alarming rates
As sea levels rise up higher
And despite the excess water
It can’t help put out this fire
It’s a problem that we caused ourselves
For profits and for wealth
We must prepare for what’s to come
In the future and for our health
