He hears it all with covered eyes
He knows what has been said
The tears, they flow, from bloodshot eyes
Now all he sees is red
He cries and cries to no avail
The worlds on fire
The systems failed
Wrong is what needs getting fixed
High moral standards
Are what’s sorely missed
I must admit
I’m not impressed
At how issues now
Have been addressed
The powers that be
Can’t bare the blame
But there is no change
If there is no change
Oh butterfly 🦋
With wings spread wide
In leopard skin
Now full in stride
Draped in lacy frills
And mens silk ties
High heeled boots
And fantastic lies
A quenching thirst
A spicy fire
The epitome
Of mens desires
On they look
With their fantasies
While you bring them
To their knees
A fantastic feline
That makes men crawl
Luring them in
With your mating call
To devour
And use up
Then say “au revoir,
Goodbye, good luck”
‪Across the purple majesty‬
‪Landscape hazy and subdued ‬
‪Amidst the mist and murk‬
‪That hides a stunning view ‬
‪Above the slopes and plush terrain ‬
‪Under moons bright stare‬
‪Gazing off into the stars‬
‪Breathing mountain air‬
‪Together in the moonlight ‬
‪Standing hand in hand‬
Daring us to venture out
To discover newer lands
His gaunt frame was gangly
He wore jeans and a coat
He was nervous and sweaty
And strung out on dope
He’d stare at the ceiling
Whenever he spoke
I offered him help
But he said he could cope
Then I laughed in his face
At his poorly told joke
And casually implied
I’m at the end of my rope
Cold as ice
In arctic seas
Homeward bound
Before they freeze
Must maneuver
Through sleet and rain
Past big sharp icebergs
That slice and maim
The underbelly
Like a tin can
And sink their ship
Farewell, the end
‪Soothing sounds ‬
‪From string and bow‬
‪Emanate a warmth and glow‬
‪Every cord of every note ‬
‪Is heard, but on a grander scope
‪It speaks straight to the heart‬
‪When moonlight is your audience
He felt a world apart ‬
But he’s ‪enamored by the music ‬
‪He’s ready to begin‬
On a rocky hill with ‪bow in hand
And with fiddle to his chin‬
His playing was subdued
A very catchy tune
Together with his harmony
It really set the mood
So he danced under the moon
The night air, he consumed
He was playing when the sun came up
And up until the afternoon
Red leaves in the forest
Through the thickets comes
A hefty steed and a rider
In a red hood and red gloves
She was headed to her grandmas
To see if she was well
She didn’t live nearby
So it was hard for her to tell
She made it to her grandma
And everything was swell
But something wasn’t right
Grandma was much more hairier and smelled
And with a certain look
She saw grandma’s big teeth
And then she saw an arm
By the bed underneath
She looked up once again
And stared into its eyes
And said the hungry wolf
On such a big surprise
“The better to eat you with my dear”
And he leapt up and devoured
That poor girl; little red
So the story now is over
Because everyone is dead
