beyond thd forest, there in lies, forest.
thresholds yearn to thresholds doors and windows.

frozen flows thawmist rises
hot spring shores

as the mature wine and cheese perfect the art of Arcane gossip

a slight tingle beneath the skin
let's little out and little in
as memories flood of where you've been

they will forever whisper alice

when what you knew you thought you knew
is no longer holding true
as mountain winds are passing through

on the breeze they whisper alice

a ****** of crows are left behind
on this the darkest of lives
they fillet the soul but leave the mind

as the beat of their wings whisper alice
for my friend...alice

thoughts to hold
loves to behold
darkness gives way to light

night gives way to sun shine bright
and tides give way to the shores stretching hidden and revealed
covered , concealed and re-appealed at moons suggestions

inevitable turns and motions projected
yet not the same components whence this building was erected
stand here today new memories and presents
projected onto walls and floors
breezes and floating flowers , plastic bags and in need of showers
sweating from the humid city evening hours

powers are working
people are churning
cities belly is not burning
but dance
little ants of power dance

in your one lined solo group style flow
of natures voice still heard in cities loop holes

i , am safe , i am full , i am empty i am souls

She's written my name in chalk

On the blackboard of her heart

Without a second thought

She could easily brush me off

With eraser in her hand

She's always making other plans

Always with some other man

Whose name is also written in chalk

On the blackboard of her heart

Every Picture Tells a Story

concerned mother scolding her child
the roaring of the crowd gone wild
the melting sun setting into the sea
an old drunk in the bushes taking a ***

a weeping soldier sitting on his helmet
standing in line waiting for a permit
pitching a tent in a national park
searching for your dog in the dark

migrant workers tending a garden
prisoner of the state pleading for a pardon
solar flares lighting up the sky
licking your lips for that apple pie

city workers digging up the street
marathon runner with blisters on her feet
working the formula in an algebra class
sipping wine from a long stemmed glass

walking the streets looking for a job
toothless old man eating corn on the cob
loosing your home to a banker of greed
growing your future from a single seed

climbing a mountain  all the way to the top
keeping the faith until you're about to drop
going out in a blaze of glory
you can find a picture in every story

Whoop! Whoop!

Is the name of this poem
Don't know where it's going
But I know it's got it going on
Wherever it may lead us
In silence or in song
We'll all be Whooping it up
Way before to long

Whoop! Whoop!**

Is where I heard it's at
Where it gets top billing
So ladies and gentlemen place your bets
How far up the ladder it will go
Is anybody's guess
So let's Whoop it up while we're here
Before there's no Whooping left
Just wanted to write a poem called Whoop! Whoop!
Can you blame me? Hahaha!

I met a man ,
with ******* bags in two hands,
and a shirt that says -

'join the conversation'

i ask for a photograph..what spills forth is
a torrent of pent up pain , of tears and a shaky smile ,

i tell him, you've got this far , you've met me , you didn't think that would happen today...
and i tell him , i hope that some good luck comes his way ,

i hope that something changes to make his life happier , he says he'll wait for me
i say i won't be back , i am a one time listener
he says people see him as not human
i say people are strange , he says as soon as they are rich they look at me with distaste
i can feel the bitterness on his lips ,

i say that these people can not be happy
he says but they have it all

i say but they have no happiness sitting in traffic in their BMW , at least you have your thoughts
he says his penny's worth on how he sees society

this man is a philosopher .

i walk away humbled , i hope i left him with the thought that there is light yet..
