My sweet goddess
You float in my heart
Carefree and beautifully
Crafted by the hand of God
He made you special
He wanted you to be
Far beyond angelic
And that, you are
Jacobo Raymundo Jan 2013
White fluff drifting downwards
Slushy goo making the drive unreal
But a voice
Her sweet southern vocal
Fills my ears and heart
Twinkling eyes full of diamonds
While her smile
Outshines the moon
That familiar aroma
Of you levitates around my nose
Although not in my arms
Like you should be
You're right here beside me
And my soul is happy
Jacobo Raymundo Jan 2013
Beautiful does not match your great allure
You draw me in with such intensity
It is amazing how you are my cure
To love you, I have a propensity
It is hard to watch you move with such grace
To stand there as elegant as a rose
And not grab you by your beautiful face
And not kiss you; it causes far too many throes
Please, I beg you, end this brainless contest
I am destined to be the victor, yes?
I have already passed your endless tests
Do you not see I'm better than the rest?
Just go ahead and fall into my love
With me by your side, we will rise above
Jacobo Raymundo Jan 2013
At daybreak, the contest shall commence
Loaded upon chariots, we begin
As trumpets blast through the blissful silence
Suddenly striking my face, a sharp grin
I shall not be defeated, she is mine
I know this much for she has told me so
Yes, my ears have been graced by the divine
And I wish for everyone to know
None of you will rise to be victorious
You have not walked through enough torture
She is a goddess, forever glorious
Her beauty is pristine, tis beyond pure
To anyone who wants to make her their own
This sacred struggle is already won

Goddess standing before the mirrored pool
Watching ripples twist and contort her face
Beautiful flesh refracted upon the cool
Where unworthy men praise the hallowed ground
I stand above, chuckling at them all
Have they no shame to wear on their forehead?
Do they not know that they cannot stand tall
Enough to win the heart of my beloved?
Apparently not, for there they remain
Waiting for her to abandon her post
That day won't come, they'll endure much pain
Tonight, we rest after a friendly toast
"May the best man walk with her through the door
And share love with her forevermore"
I have decided to start a sonnet cycle of who knows how many sonnets. here is the first. also, none will be named

Flabbergasted, the whale wails
Lonely upon the sea drifting ever apart
A sole ****** raises his tired sails
Forever trapped in solitary solace

Winds warping the canvas
While ominous clouds encroach
The salty breeze stinging his taste
A bitterness within the calm

Peace drowns with the fury
That the storm has yet to bring
Fear not, creature of the sea
The troublesome life is far from over

Another night trashing about
The rock and the roll of the bow
A lullaby to a tired soul
Slowly rocking to dreamless sleep
An odd view of a seemingly simple poem... the ****** is actually dead. he is in his afterlife (though neither heaven nor hell). he lived a life forever wanting a girl he could never have and thus is drifting off at sea with nothing more around him than the call of a lonely whale.

The gravel beneath my tires
My heart pulsing
Blood throbbing through my veins
The green house on a hill in sight

The dogs barking as my door closes
I walk upon your wood porch to hear your voice
My heart skips a beat
As you leave your house

A night with you again
A night of many words
Most of which unsaid
But I could hear them

As I leave
I can smell you on my jacket
A smile crosses my face
As I go back in time
