First True Love

When I looked into your eyes I felt something,
Something I wanted to last forever.
I had the courage to ask you for you number.
A number I will never forget.

After we got to know each other,
I never got you off my mind.
I found every way to see you in the halls.
We started to date,
I thought that was the best day of my life.

Man was I wrong.

You treated me like ****,
Making me your slave.
Ruining my life,
Forever.

You took my happiness away.
You ripped my brains out,
Forgetting what friendships were.
Losing everything I had,
Just for you to be happy.
Off my pain and hopelessness.

All the blue and purple prints that you left for everyone to see,
Yet no one cared because you took everyone that have ever care away.

The only way I could escape
Was to stroke my way from one wall to another.
Feeling the coldness, wet water can cure anything.

I finally feel again,
Understand that everything you have done to me
can no longer go on.

Put my foot down and finally told you,
I no longer will condone the pain you put me through.

I’m Done
I don't need you

Jazz,
Only element that can get us through and bring us all together
The sound of the trumpet and trombone.
Even through the toughest time,
We all come together
And forget our rough day.

Maybe,
Tomorrow we can be seen like the others,
Not being watched over and having all eyes on us.

The police officer and that dog always are around.
Can we not have a night without them?
Sorry we are all different yet still the same.
this poem is framed around the picture "Saturday Night Street Scene" By Archibald Motley
