Death,
She cries,
Into the merciless night,
I long for you,
Yes, she longs for Death,
Her soul yearns,
To shed her scarred skin,
Please, I beg for mercy,
She is pleading,
Drunk with desperation,
Take me away from here,
Holding the gun to her head now,
Ready to end her lonely existence,
Hopeless,
This is all I have,
Nothing,
For she has nothing to lose,
This is all I can give,*
She pulls the trigger

Her soft, silent smile,
A lie to his eyes,
Steals hope from their heavy hearts,
Why can he not see,
How much she cares,
Unwillingly so now,
But no less than before,
Yet he turns her away

Maybe we should stop,
To breathe,
For a second,
Before this moment,
Slips through our fingers,
Lost to the past

My pulse fades fast,
The end is nigh,
I'm at loss without you,
Unsure of myself,
Or how to be,
Longing for the comfort,
Of the gentle touch,
Of your warm fingers,
On my cool skin,
To lose ourselves,
In a place untouched,
By Time's withering hand

Spring birds cry,
Where she sleeps,
A silent scream escapes,
His dripping lips,
Slowly, her tears form,
At the sound,
Too fast the night is gone,
Taking him with the burnt-out stars,
To a lonely place

You're like a beautiful disease,
Poisoning my thoughts,
With longing,
Making my heart beat,
Pleasantly fast,
Morphing clarity,
Into obscurity,
Preventing the inevitable,
That I dream of,
With your impractical logic

I think the reason,
I don't fight anymore,
Is because every time I did,
They told me to give in,
And somewhere along the way,
I listened
