Her touch was heart warming
A smile that melts the soul
The sparkle in her eyes when she stares
Opened up never did that before
Feeling vulnerable lots of trust
Things going right very unsettling
Being wrong hurts most poor judgment
Learning to cope understand the new
Hard to go back to the old ways
Lay in bed hard to sleep alone again
Missing the company not the bad attitude
Full of emotions drained left empty inside
Desired those addictive yearnings
That kiss became loveless no connection
Emotionless gaze became a cold glance
Taunted by failed love from the past
Mocked by memories with cravings
Not able to get that drug sick fix

Sobriety you lose friends
If we are drinking
We tolerate one another
Sober  with a clear mind
Better judgement less bitterness
Don't care for anothers company
Growing meaning letting go
Strength from those failed friends
Positivity gained from a toxic relationship
Love from the past fades
New gains from self love
Empowering yourself to do more
Trust leaving personal doubt
Make change for the better
Be the solution rise above problems

A proposal to help the next generation
Make things easier make things better
How I found things over time
Be better than those who oppose you
Not talking about anyone mindful
Standing my ground staying out of it
Finding the groove making it through
Overcoming struggle fighting back

Blessed not letting the bad
Ruin the good they dk your efforts
Taking time to get stronger than before
Never going to be that way again
Overtime growing mentally
Spiritually healing from the torment
Deep breaths taking in the good
Blowing out the bad vibes
Striving and thriving to be more

Great up poor hard working
Help out or get out of the way
No longer seek your approval
Or care for others thoughts
More lies and rumors being said
Listening to negativity putting out good
That BS ruins the day focused on work
Busting **** to live the best life possible
Going hard all in or nothing
Trying to be somebody treated like nobody
Talked about hated on made out to be the bad guy
Doing what's right following this heart
Minding this mouth it will ruin everything
Destroyed everything gave it to God things got better
Staying sober saving mental health
Physical health body scared and recovering
Not afraid of self destruction struggle brought me down
Bounced back with faith detailed not afraid to do great things for others

Mom's blaming everyone but herself
Son is a thief always mad at something
Running her mouth over nothing
All this talk no do mad at the truth
Called ruthless blunt not holding back
Writing this story from the people
Who's drama ruins my day
Healing from pain ******* up memories remain
Sober living getting cussed out by a drunk
Confronted the hunger over not talking anymore
Always on trial for being myself
While others are praised for being fake
Talking about others doesn't make you better
On the way one day it will all fade away

On the beach holding her hand
The wind blowing a refreshing night
Just enough light to see one another the clash of the waves sand soft and cold
Intimate nature with natural vibes
The glowing fire lights up her face
Sitting on a tree log by the fire pit
Flames of fire providing heate
Listening to stories being told
Enjoying one anothers company
Moisture from the ocean giving chills
Close to one another to stay warm
The fog came in with the cold
