Use to drown it all out with beers

Came close but came up short
Should've got the job came up short
Fighting for a cause that go lost
Walked away from it all
A few credits from a degree
Only got the 3rd degree

Always wanted to be a writer
Wake up write
Always told the truth
Its sad people try to twist your words
Make you out to be the bad guy
Having a caring heart gets you hurt
Doing what's right gets you hated
All or nothing with efforts
Matching energy
Would rather be alone
