Our First Time
Remember the first time we met?
That very moment my heart was set
Remember those sweet smiles?
That reached out miles
The first time we talked
I had butterflies in my stomach
That time I didn't know what to say
For you and you alone can make my mouth shut
I still remember those dorky words that I suddenly said
And those foolish questions I asked you
Some words slipped off my tongue
That happening was still fresh in my head
When you caught me staring at you
I pretended that I didn't care about anyone
It was the only way to hide what I feel
For I found the love that I've been lookin' for, lying within you
Our First Time was great to remember
Hoping that memories would last forever
Would it just be part of history?
Or would it make a new story?
Should our first time stay the first?
Or if we continue would we burst?
No matter what happens I'll be there for you
To be stand by you, To fight for you
This was the second poem I wrote, earlier this year, for this girl who made me so shy and feel that I can't look to her in the eye but after series of poems and months of trying, I got friend zoned.
