My heart dropped listening to the words
Clear, crisp, concise they roll from an educated tongue
Every word bigotry in all it's splendour
How did such a well educated and nurtured soul become such a pariah
Then the realisation
We missed a generation
The horrors of war in the two world wars ingrained in many love, not hurt nor hatred
They taught their children how to love and tolerance of others, not to hate a colour
Now it seems that quality has gone and to hate has become the norm
To ridicule and marginalise fashionable?
All that was learnt from those deaths now forgotten
If a teenager uses such words, what hope for those who come next?
No good for sure
