Art
Problems are peaches, ripe and so sweet,
Not knowing is better than wrongfully weak,
Death is a hobble, love is a smile,
Kindness is caring and never hostile.

So enter stage right and burst out with song,
Say good morning, good night, we'll all get along,
Friends in high places, wink wink and nudge,
Am I gullible or guilty, you be the judge

You were always my mirror,
And I, merely a reflection,
Of your love, your kindness,
The laughter in your eyes.
mirror, merely... playing

I once held hands with a stranger.

I'm not sure if I've ever felt closer
To another human being.

It was innocence.

It was beautiful.

It was a surprise.

Day
The best way to prepare a man for life,
Is to deny him all love and acceptance.

Only then, will he spend every waking moment,
Asking why.

I can remember so much.
Why do I feel like I missed it all.

Love is asylum.
Friendship is courage.
Money is sanctuary.
Faith is dependence.
Conviction is hope.
Music is magic.

What has life taught me?

To eat my vegetables.
To kiss like I'm eating an ice cream cone.
To make others laugh.

Snort.

I hate the first few minutes of waking up.
It feels like I've been tricked.
Conned.
Duped.
My escape thwarted.
