I found it

It...

Love...

Is it real?

How do I know?

I think I have it now...

It's starting to grow...

Every second away from you is like years

Come back to bed

Please stay here...

you kissed the moon
she kissed you too
that night was painted
black and blue

the world is dark
ah, but here she comes
a bright, floating orb
equally as beautiful as the sun

but love her tender,
even as the night goes by
never tear those golden eyes
from her place in the sky

yes, it is true
that the night will soon go
and the lovers will say goodbye
and their hearts will sink low

as sure as the sun rises,
so will she
that naive, florescent globe
hanging lightly over the sea

the world will once again
be painted black and blue
because you kissed the moon
and she kissed you too.

Cold and ******
Dark and Damp
I want to be a cave dweller
growing claws from the top my hands
.
I see I am not much of a man
hide from the rocks up above
buried my head deep in the sand
.
I know that I could be something
If I could only come to the surface
but the truth is that the sun makes me sick
.
I know that I could be something
If I just came out of hiding
but I don’t like this place
.
I am the product of my own misanthropy
and my spite I hold on to stronger than anything
.
I see I am not much of a man
I’d rather hide in shadows
and watch the world shift like sand
.
I know that I could be something
If I could only come to the surface
but the ants on the earth make me sick

the soft pitter patter
of the rain fell
against her ears
breaking the silence softly
as it warned the birds to
fly to shelter
and the people to
run for cover
but she stayed as the soft
pitter patter
turned into a roar
and she let the rain take
her

So here's the thing
You start school
You befriend a group of people
And you begin a friendship with them
And you think nothing of it.

Now, further along the line
You get into fights
With these friends
So you're left with only several people
And your friendship group grows smaller
And you think nothing of it.

After you get out of school
You enter the real world
You have one or two close friends
You go for a coffee
Or a meal
And you sip your boiling tea
And you think nothing of it.

Finally
You move away
You lose contact with these friends
You begin to wonder
Where did it all go?
And you sit back in your chair
And you think nothing of it.

Then comes the sudden realization
What did you do to keep your friends?
Did you arrange the coffee dates?
The cinema trip?
Did you give your best friend advice to get the girl he liked?
No, you didn't.
And you walk alone
And you think nothing of it.

Friendships change like the flows of a river
consuming elegant banks

Some last a lifetime.

Some fly past in five minutes
In a moment of panicky crisis
Or a glimpse at what might have,
if you had just grabbed.

friendships are never what you expect.

Most expect too much
some expect very little.

Friendships can be silent for years,
then come alive with the cacophony of a Blue whale breaching
mid Atlantic,
where only the swallows cast an ear

Other friendships crumble like the chimneys
and the coal mines of a long gone age.
Leaving only rubble and shrapnel to sift through.
In a bomb site of broken friends.

Sifting you acquire a filthy broken dolls head

It reminds you of a childhood
when futures were eternal
and friends were too.
