Her sadness
Is a slow, solitary walk
Through frozen fields
In darkness.
Palpable unfeeling silence
Enveloping her,
heavy, heartsick,
Homeless, filled with
Overwhelming horror.
She feels there is no hope,
But there must always be hope.
She will surface
From her pool of dark despair.
Forget faith, forget strength,
They demand too much of you,
But have hope,
As long as you have hope,
There will always be a dawn.

I looked between the sheets
to see if I could see your feet
Something that once was there; disappeared
Couldn't even find a single hair;
For proof you were there

Must have vanished in mid-air
Amongst the others who were just as fair
But managed to lay their head in another home
Who laid comfortably beside others bones
For proof you were scared

Now there's a lie wrapped around your finger
Married to another but your feeling still linger;
Your smile still flickers as I look in the mirror
Where I used to grab your hips in sensual bliss
For proof you loved, then lied, then sailed another ship...

Your ship missed port and now your bagging for more
But how can I love when I'm ripped up and torn;
Although, these open doors give me sight of fool's paradise;
these legs don't move after you taken them as your prize
Even when you left I still saw me on you
For proof that my mind is delusional too
Cause all this drama is emphasized by me
Crafted by a simple mind and vocalized by a feign

This morning I cried twice.
Once walking to school.
It was dark, and it was cold.
And I was going to meet with God
We needed to talk about something
And He wasn't
Saying what.
So I pulled my brother's old flannel shirt
Around my coffee stained top
And cried right there
In front of a homeless person
Waiting for a bus that wasn't coming.
Then I cried again
Because I still had no idea
What God wanted from me.
And it dawned on me
That that was the point.
Home again.

I hold the door, and sigh. Holding my axe in one hand,
Orange, white, and red plaid shirt. Chin covered in stubble.
A warm fire inside. My sweetheart reading by the hearth.
A glance up. Her light blue eyes, so inviting.
Her smile.

I enter.
And rest.
I am home again.

Whenever you open your mouth
I know that nothing good would ever come out

Your words are like knives
Sharp and painful
Cutting through her fragile heart

Leaving scars on her mind
Changing her thoughts
About life
/drdc/
If enough tears leak past them,
The eyes lose their temper, and either bar the floodgates completely
Or throw them wide apart
Allowing all the migrants through.

If you allow a hurt to harm your heart,
It sends you a warning,
Arrhythmia, inducing anxiety
angrily - it cannot take too much.

If you refuse to feed, or water it,
Your body will turn on you,
Weakness, cramps and spasms
Fainting, sweating, pallor, shakes.

Your body does not care about your broken soul.
It's selfish, and wants to be nurtured, and loved,
So love it, there is no-one else to do it,
And if you let it rebel, you will have lost another
More precious than the first.
