Gossamer
I had two best friends;
a boy
and a girl
And I talked to them
every day
and I loved them
with all of my heart;
In fact, I loved the boy
with all of my heart
and then some
but he didn't love me back;
why would he?
And so,
when the girl
told me
she liked the boy
I couldn't bear
to tell her
that I too was infatuated
with his laugh
and the sound of his voice
and so,
I told her
that she should date him
(since I clearly never would)
And then
to my surprise
and utter dismay
they did
And I was sad
but I still smiled
when we were in groups
because I still loved them
with all of my heart
However;
the love that I had
for them
was not as strong
as their love for each other
And now
I have two friends;
a boy
and a girl
The boy told me he used to like me
way back when I thought he never would
but it's too late
to fix my stupid mistakes
because now my two friends
talk to each other
every day;
I have not spoken to either
in months
and I sit alone
at home
thinking of what would have happened
(and what could be)
if I had told the boy
that I loved him
with all of my heart
and then some.
What I like best
Is when the sun dips west
To come with a hop
To the Rooftop!
I see how red with blue blends
As another day ends,
After a tiring day looking for rest
The birds haste to find their nest!
As the light grows dim
Colors spill on the sky at whim
I feel a peace rise in me
That breaks all shackles
And sets me free!
Before the east glows in the sun
Run boy run.
Only they who run
Know the fun
Of leaving the bed
And going ahead.
5 chimes the bell
And off you sail
Sniffing the smell of grass
Past you the winds rush.
Run along as if on wing
To reach where the larks sing
Up down down up the feet
Lub-dub goes up heartbeat
Like invincible one you run
To feel the morn so sweet!

● Your moon who'll shine
On the darkest hour of night
Brightening up your path
When anyone else can't.

● Your long eyelashes
On the golden orbs of yours
Covering the eyelids then
When it is a dusty noon..

● Your gorgeous red lips
On the cute babyface of yours
Transforming the shiny smile
As a pout whenever we kiss...

● Your slender smooth waist
On the toned body of yours
Wriggling with full grace
As my hand kisses it....

● Your pain-bearing friend
On those days of pain
Sharing tell-tale signs
When the pain ramps up.....

● Your gut-wrenching partner
On the sleepless moonlit nights
Writing our epic in love-ink
When the nights get naughty......

● Your dream-man poster-boy
On the crevices of your mind
Posing for you in all those poses
As you often fantasize about me.......

● Your courageous support
On courage-demanding days
Facing all these obstacles in life
As we go on the road to nirvana........

● Your skill of creativity
On the pages of our epic
Rhyming along together
When you start thinking.........

● Your permanent companion
On the beautiful road of our lives
Living with you at the same place
When you bring the good news..........

Do you know what was my reply when the class teacher told me that my attendance was lower than the minimum requisite & I won't be allowed to sit in the exams???

I replied that it's not an issue, my genes make me very sturdy and I could write the exams standing!
Not a poem but a joke I read somewhere.
Look back
The old rack
May have in its nooks
Dusty books
That were for you made
But you never read
Like you never noticed eyes
With loving look
Never heard sighs
Things you mistook
And lost for good
Like the unread book!
There maybe something
For long waiting
Unknown to you
Silent but precious
Like dropping dew
Life’s must
Withering away in dust!

Sometimes I ask my head,
What exactly is my role,
It replies rather bluntly,
How do I know, Go ask your soul.

So I say to my soul,
Why am I here, What is my goal,
Silence, Nothing but deep dark silence,
One that could pierce the heart, Create a hole.

You're asking the wrong question,
Said my faithful heart(with a hole),
Search for the right question, Instead of the wrong answer,
Maybe then you'll know where to go, Your path,

Maybe I should set out on a journey,
But i stay where I am, comfortable and bored,
What's the use, Each day brings a new question,
A new dilemna, Just begging to be explored,

You listen to me, and you listen to me good,
A little voice inside of me says,
Keep looking for answers, If time is all you have to waste,
Be strong, Move on, Don't get lost in this maze,

So I move forward, No time to look back,
With this voice guiding me always,
For once i have a clear conscience,
Long forgotten is that part of my life, that phase,

Its a carefree world now,
No more questions,
Except for one,

"Who are you, little voice, What's your name?",

"I am not one,but three,
For one cannot rule your world,
I am Your Head, Your Heart and Your Soul,
And the only reason we spoke out as one,
Was for you to understand,
Life is a vicious circle, a sadistic game,
You already knew the question, You already had the answer,
For more things change, More they remain the same."
