I'm talking to myself again
My thoughts are eating me alive
you filled my head with thoughts of gold.
I was always the colorless one
but your voice, your words
turned my cheeks bright red,
my eyes a sparkly green,
and my soul golden.
You howled to take me back to bed after the sun dropped
you took your colors back
again, I was the colorless one.

I know I'll never find her
I woke up with her voice in my ear.
When she left me
the city died
stars didn't shine
everything had been abandoned
everything was alone
incomplete.
I turned on the t.v
she was talking about the weather.
I woke up with her voice in my ear
her image in my head.
I hope to see her again tonight
because I know I'll never find her.
