You don't know what it's like to be me
Walking around in ***** history
You seem too alarmed now
Like something's holding you back
I know what you are
You are... You are....

You're better than that.

I think about you all of the time
But I'm so glad that you're no longer mine
We had a good run
Those times were so great
But all of that sweet love

Eventually turned into hate

Now I'm sinking, or am I dreaming?
Life doesn't come with a handbook.

There is a presence
What is this presence?
Trying hold my hand through the rain.
They put a knife into my back
But they can't take my pride, no they can't take my pride
They came and took all that I have
But they forgot my soul, I still have my soul
I have to find something to occupy my mind
I've thought through the list of hate
My list of hate

Is back

*****
It's personal.

Welcome to hello poetry
writhe and
gape of tortured

   perspective
   rasp and graze of splintered

normality
               crackle and
               sag
   of planes          clamors of
   collision
   collapse         As

peacefully,
lifted
into the awful beauty
                                  of sunset

                                  the young city
putting off dimension with a blush
enters
the becoming garden of her agony
Hopeful maiden,
Mistress of cotillions,
Depthless, devoid of culture,
Unquestioning, incurious,
Seeks her warrior-beast-of-burden,
A man's man, a sportsman of sorts,
Yet sensitive and without ego,
A staunch provider,
Seeking beauty for its own sake,
A coy, coltish fawn, un-artful,
Un-fawning, who cannot keep a house,
Hold her tongue nor navigate
Social gatherings, one whose passion
Is only on offer, never proffered,
She seeks an old fashioned man
Who appreciates her
Mannish manner and business
Acumen— artists, musicians,
And above all penurious poets
Need not apply, I wish
To learn to cook one fashionable
Day, I am working on
Being famous, it is such
A burden being lovely,
Beautiful.
Are all the good
Men Married?  Gay?
Professional athletes,
A-list actors, incarcerated
Felons wanted, perfect
Listeners needed,
Kryptonians preferred.
