In all I know for certain, uncertainties reside, while looking for something never to be known.

Hope flying within Broken
Eva Rushton Aug 2019
With broken wings
I will fly
Because my heart still sings
Despite my cry

I may be tossed
By wind and storms
May even get lost
But broken wings will preform

I have got where I am by falling and not get back up.

I don’t know.
Eva Rushton Jul 2019
Flock a **** a doodle doo
I said to someone how are you
They looked at me and have a grin
And ask me why the state I’m in

You see I said , my teeth fell out
All because my feet had gout
They looked me up , they looked me down
I then start rolling on the ground

Stormy laughter
Eva Rushton Jul 2019
In the howling wind , I heard a whisper
Fly by my head, and into my ear
With the weight of a feather, it tickled my thoughts
And in midst of the storm, I stand there laughing
The rain drops are heavy, and falling so hard
As the water runs down ,from my blinded eyes
In my mind i am drowning ,without a life guard

Falling Star
Eva Rushton Jul 2019
Alone in life
She soared like a falling star.
Knowing her light was fading
As the star is about to hit earth

Never standing out
While among the galaxy
Yet admired at the end
As soul meets stars.

Never Thirst
Eva Rushton Jul 2019
And thee lord hath said
Write my child write
Spread thy soul across thee page
As oceans disperse thee earth
Feed thy hunger from within
And ye shall never know of thirst Write my child write.

Balance
Eva Rushton Jul 2019
Even though it maybe unseen
Each day something is lost
Each day something is gained
                 It’s called
         The Balance Of Life
               Seek the gain

A lunge into freedom
Eva Rushton Jul 2019
With a suitcase
Of a past
Belonging to
Another of me

Strain keeps pulling
In steps already taken
Scanning the beauty ahead
Looking at the swamp behind

Earth flys with the release
As the baggage crashes
Splaying open
It’s contents no longer contained

Dust devils swirl
As torments fly upward
Upon clearing
Vision magnifies

Movement is smooth
Freedom lunges me
Freeing mind and heart
Allowing achievement

Who am I
Eva Rushton Jul 2019
To sit and write
Of who I am
Would take tonight
and a day be ****

For my birth alone
was in despair
A shack of home
Of a lions lair

there down I roll
Naked with ignorance
No food for my soul
Un able to balance

Lasting kiss
Eva Rushton Jul 2019
The petal of a flower
Blew up and kissed me on the cheek.
Then on the ground it lay, wilting in the sunshine
While I am renewed , as I smile
The movement of my cheek muscles releases sparkling dust
Which falls upon the silky leaflet
absorbing it
The wind then picks the dust and takes it.
The petal’s last kiss is Is now upon the wings of butterflies no longer wilting.

The privilege
Eva Rushton Jul 2019
A white laced dress
Replace the soot
Shinny red lipstick
Heal the chapped
Delicate strapped sandals
Without steel toes
Feeling hands of massage
Instead of mine doing
Life saving compressions
Holding me tight
From emotions I fight
Oh , how beautiful it must feel
to be allowed to be woman .
My dream of it creates fairy tale vision.

Shadow of doubt
Eva Rushton Jul 2019
Our shadow maybe
Our soul reaching out
Wanting to reconnect
With out heart
When it feels we
Are lost
In the insignificant
Aspects
Of
Our true purpose of a human being

Freedom
Eva Rushton Jul 2019
Dance, swirl, laugh
Let  go,
Close your eyes
See with your heart
Dance a prance
Let all be beautiful
That only a dance
Can do
I see you tapping
I hear your music
Just do
The unprepared
DANCE

Walk with Me
Eva Rushton Jun 2019
Dust my heart light
With words of hope
Like dew of the night
So in darkness I cope

Teach me of strength
Of actions by you
Like a trunk of a tree
Stand tall beside me

Walk at my side
Pick me up if I fall
From my sight do not hide
You my friend I will call

Hope forever
Eva Rushton Jun 2019
When I think of hope
The symbol of a heart crosses my mind.
But I’m realizing as I question the heart symbol
Hope is something that is not meant  to be uncontrolled
Yet the lines of heart ❤️ symbol meet in the Centre at the top and that’s the end.
Should hope be the symbol of any kind of unending line, and then hope would go on and on uncontrolled.

Morphing
Eva Rushton Jun 2019
If beauty is in the beholder
I am your beholder in this life
I don’t know you , I’ve never met you
I’ve never even spoken to you
Yet I know you are walking this path of life the best you can
You started as an egg
You morphed into a cocoon
Now I see your wings spreading
Even though it’s hard to control them in the winds of life
Excitement flutters within my heart as you reach new heights of what you thought yourself could achieve.
Fly high , dive deep into who you are.
Yes you the reader !

Sleepy daylight
Eva Rushton Jun 2019
As daylight lays upon its bed
blanketed by the midnight sky
What must it dream, does it dread
Is dew it’s tears from its cry

Does it awaken or sleep all night
Or toss and turn , or sleep so still
Planning of tomorrow and being bright
For us humans our dreams to fill

Play date
Eva Rushton Jun 2019
Home sick today
With my poets I’ll play
Emotions and words
Like music And cords
Stomach flu has resided within me so I’m home from work and spending the day here with my poet family. I seldom miss a day of work
