I am losing myself
Little by little
With each passing day.
I sit in the corner
Grasping to everything I hold dear
But however valiantly I fight,
I slip through my own fingers
So I am left with only my body,
Which I never liked in the first place,
And the corner where I remain
To hide from the life
I have lost sight of.
Man                                           Woman
He Smiles Curiously                        She Blushes Coyly
He Approaches      Asks her name      She shares it     Asks the Same
Mr Right                              Love at First Sight                    Her Smile is a Delight
"Meet for Drinks?"                            hmmmmmm                              "Pick me up at 8?"
He knocks - 1 rose.                                vase, water                        Her perfume - sweeter.
Politely, opens car door for her                                The night keeps getting better
At the restaurant                                                      She sips her red wine
Conversation so easy                    She feels she's known him forever
"Would you like to dance?                "I don't dance very well."
"Indulge me, just want u in my arms."    ~Just a smile~
One hand at her waist, one on her back.
They become one, all others disappear.
Peering into each other's eyes.
No words are needed.
Their bodies
say
it.

will the sunlight lead me home or will I stumble up the stairwell?
did the moonlight cloak our hips or did the steam outline our shadows?
do you see the hopes I see or just avoid the air I breathe?
Take a look again
Am I what you thought I was?
Am I worthy of forever?
Do I deserve your heart,
And are you miserable
Holding mine?
It is time to think the thoughts
That I avoid in the day,
The thoughts that creep from
Shadows, and enter my mind under
Closed eyelids.
Allow me to serenade you with my lyrics,
Sing you softly to sleep in mysterious expression
Do not fight your slumber - smile for me as you
Succumb to your dreams, whispering a melody
Slowly, slowly
Save your worries, just listen to the sound of my words,
While I enjoy the sweet sound of your sigh
As your senses give way to sleep.
I cupped my hands
To drink from my River of Dreams
The water was sweet,
It stained my tongue
And cleansed my tear-stained cheeks
My dreams took flight
At the first swallow -
That is when I first saw you.
Unsure and hesitant, I was -
Until I tasted your kiss
The River I drank from so long ago
So here I sit,
Intoxicated
For you are my sweetest dreams,
Come true.
The silence is louder than any words that they can yell.

He looks at her, she glances away.

She looks at him, he turns his head.

What are they afraid of?

If she opens her mouth, will he ask her to leave?

If he opens his mouth, will she say she has to go?

What brought them together?

Is it the missing passion that she longs for?

Is it the missing person that he needs?

What happens now?

They put a smile on their face and pretend it was nothing.

That is what happens with the silence between two lovers.
