I whispered, with hope that you'd be near.
Spoke softly, in reminder of how gentle you were.
Shouted, angry that you should be here.
Loud enough, hoping you'd hear my fear.
"One word, should make him turn"...
"Be quiet... So he can hear!"
Went silent, searching for where you might be.
Finally. You found me.
Colliding with my being,
Filling my heart, with could-have-beens.
Holding me tight with endless grief.
Maybe here,
I can hold my breath,
Maybe then,
I'd understand
That this is our new kind of love,
Maybe here, maybe then,
I'll learn to let go,
Maybe here, maybe then,
I'll be with you on the road.

Our kind of love
The heavens will whisper to the sun and the sea,
" There's a new kind of love".
Angels will stop and stare, shocked how this came about.
We've summoned heaven all around,
True love has finally been found.
No more wondering how this came about,
Our souls no longer doubt

Searching
I caught more than what you threw.
Already,
Long lost in you,
And you never knew.
Searching for love that could be true,
Finding pain that you went through.
Heart bruised,
With oozing wounds.
"I'll mend, if you let me through"
