I should start the day
not repeating what I said before
those around me would frown
regard me a terrible bore-

rather I should hear what others say
life and people to understand more
silence opens the door to learning
let this be the day's winsome score.

It's better
to chat
than to
blame or hate

It doesn't rule the world---success
only kindness

You might not
be a star
it's enough
if you like yourself
as you are

Life might not be
a feast
be grateful
if it has given you peace

The action is the liberation

We lead our lives
largely by guessing
not reasoning

It's my simple wish:
that people would not be impish

How I wish and entreat
to be a centipede
born with such feet
that I need never compete!

Even the steel-clad heart
has turned butterfly
the C-virus has torn the world apart
it simply refuses to die-

more value is attached
to enviable rolls of toilet-paper
it has to be daily detached
to comply with the rule of nature-

in its absence just for a moment
what's the worth of gold or silver?
would living not lose its enjoyment?
where would the paperless run for cover?

Towns and cities are in shutdown
daily life has come to a standstill
nowhere is safety to be found
neither is there a saving pill.

There's no prize to claim
life is not a game

I can't agree
   or disagree
   I wasn't there
   I didn't see

Aim not
at being great
ordinary tasks perfectly performed
is enough to ingratiate

One thing at a time
has brought me the best outcome

Losing
is cleansing

I sleep well every night
  the day's woes I set aside

They say:
   'Come, come'
   when you do
    you wouild no longer be welcome

Not the day
  but the moment
  you can't brush it away-
  discontent!

The rebellion of the heart
is stronger than the cranial part

Pity the winner
such is restless forever

Tell the truth never
you would regret later

Beware of people
  yourself especially
  life is already too much trouble
  don't play the game in folly

This I couldn't understand
     why insincerity should exist in a friend

Aim not at being exceptional
it incurs the envy of other people
in every way they would wrangle
you to trouble and out-rival.

I am rich
    in my poor way
    have never starved
    for a single day.

You can't **** me
      I am your poisoned imagination
      not even if you call in an army
      I am invisible-- not made for perdition!

I don't want
   to be rich
   preferring life
   to enrich

Life is not a race
     none could properly keep pace

If words I befriend
     I would have a happy literary end

To count myself less
      brings happiness

When the self
      is invaded by pride
      few people would want
      to be by that person's side

Don't tempt me
     many had tried before
     I am content in my poverty
     why would I need more?

Living life
ceases to be costly
when I no longer
take it seriously

Ten persons in the committee
       views expressed amounted to twenty

Chase nothing
  avoid dreaming

This the very truth:
often I don't see clearly
by committing to writing
I do away with ambiquity

Good for you
go for it
leave me out
that I want no bit

Let failure speak
  how sincere, how humble and meek!

I can't see clearly
   beyond my nose
   also cant' tell in any certainty
   which way the wind blows

I lean
   upon nothing
   neither do I hanker
    after anything

I need not
    be strong
   enough strength is mine
   if I do no wrong

Myself I must reduce
  a better person to produce

Giving in
giving up
having given such
no more drink in your cup!

This is my way of living---

I know what I can do and recognise there are always many more things I can't do.

So, I let go that which is beyond my capability and reach.

Thus, my life has been enriched.

What I'm saying here is the truth

Together we sat to watch the late-hour stars
    as music lingered in the cool night air
    into your dreamy eyes I looked
    a blissful moment beyond every care

  do you remember how we met?
  spring's flowers were dancing everywhere
  you smiled when you walked by
  your beauty with none could I compare

  Such a glorious day this is!  you spoke
  as I was reading Keats' on the bench just there
  my heart leapt for joy and I said
  please sit by me -- as into your eyes I did stare

  oh, Keats' poems I do love dearly
  but how painfully his love did fare
  you then placed your tender hand on mine
  our hearts to each other we freely did bare

   ah, my beloved, how the years have fled
   yet this do allow me to declare:
   that spring day how could forget?
   as every token of love I still faithfully wear.

Be grateful you know little as this gives ample room for you
to learn---and this is the linchpin of your education and progress.

The reward here is the enjoyment--each step forward is likely a sip of good wine which will whet your appetite and bring you a smile through your living days.

Minds that are too full or over-crowded tend to be stressful
and their owners find it hard to relax or be happy.

Be like a child, regard yourself being still in the kindergarten of life
and you will be filled with wonder and joy.

I am blessed as I know little.
