1    As we can't know our own motives, how could another?

2    As everyone wears a mask, how much should we trust?

3    Should love be the ultimate measure of everything?

4    How often do people apply reason to defend their reason?

5   Isn't the meaning of meaning an individual rather than a general
phenomenon?

6    Is truth a myth?

7    Is human nature inherently bad or good?  Who can tell?

8    How much of our life is lived in lies?

9    Isn't it true we are no more than a figment of our own imagination?

10  Is there anyone who is without prejudice?

Let's not quarrel
you do what you may
I'll do mine--that's fair
I should say-

never mind our differences
none should insist on their way
the world is made of 7.7 billion faces
imagine the number of transactions that mark the day!

Imprison
the war-mongers!
down with
the nature-destroyers!

Bring them to justice
the corrupt and heartless leaders!
let  food and homes be distributed
among the forgotten poorest!

Let's get rid
of the liars and impostors
the mind-benders
and joy-killers!

Though we can't create a utopia
we can bring back life's beauty and wonders
we'll instil young minds with hopes and ideals
which will lead the world to brighter tomorrows.

It's 2019-
not 1920
which means nothing
to me

in 2090
I won't be writing poetry
but this poetry-site
will live on--minus ME!

A new year
      but same as before
      no end of war
      the world persists in eye-sore

     civilisation has collapsed
     humanity perished so long ago
     2091--what would be the scenario?
     I don't want to know!

2019---this is without any doubt-
   Trump ranting and vituperating in White House
   Putin drinking his favourite ***** in Moscow and strategising
   Kim watching military parades and eating kim-chee in bouts

   each has their own agenda
   stamping their feet in loud shouts
   conflicts, hunger and suffering persist
   gun-shots and bullets fly to reach the clouds!

Give us peace
   this is the greatest good
   stop the making of ammunitions
   let's produce more food.

   Kindness and compassion
   should be mankind's very root
   let hatred be replaced by love
   follow the path of grace we all should.

Argue not with your boss
lest you end up with job-loss

Avoid the trivia
    your success will go far.

Invest not in bonds or stocks
   but in work and health--
   a happy home and a steady income
   will be your greatest wealth

Don't over-spend
   on your credit-card
   debts are leeches
   they cling on and never depart

If you do well
      don't you boast
      they would give you hell
      not the toast

Over-optimism--it could mislead
  it's wise on some pessimism to feed

Be smart
  don't revisit 2018's rut

Aim not too high
    on the possible, concentrate
    you don't have wings--you can't fly-
    on simple ground, your small worthy deeds celebrate.

You can't totally trust your banker
  save more, borrow little--you'll be happier!

Read less of the papers
     think independently more
     they are full of lies and rumours
     the daily deleterious eye-sore!

2020 speaks to 2019
behave properly
be responsible
serve humanity--

don't you dare
infect me with your calumny
I know you too well
you can't ever fool me!

Being small
you can easily hide
being too big
on trouble's back you ride.

It's the emptying
that invites the filling

Hold
       nothing
       then you grasp
       the essential thing

It's not yours
      that reject
      in not wanting
      what's there to expect?

Why travel
    or search
    when you
    are the universe?

Words
are not
what they seem
don't be bought!

That which
    you tasted yesterday
    could never be exactly
    the same today

The mystery
of the Tao
is only manifest
when to your heart you bow.

Without*
  within
  hardly in consonance
  never twin

The Whole
   disintegrates never
   there are no fragments
   in that Together

I am not the problem

9102---no more humans
  people are robots and machines
  far, far away from primitive 2019
  metal parts become skins-

  words court a 99.99% death
those forbidden are 'love', 'beauty'
'feelings' and 'heart'--- it's a new earth
with reference to none---named 'Synchronicity'

Life doesn't say
'I give'
what you have
I can't take away'.

The flower isn't aware
that it has been kissed by the dew
after such a long while
you still don't know I love you

did you not feel my kiss
when in your dreams you met me?
don't you deny what's in your heart
don't you ever say love is silly!

but meaning

It's a bad day
when you stand
in someone's way

The sound of a bell
as it leaves the bell

A drop of water
still clinging to the tap

The cry of a hawk
before it echoes through trees

A composer's wet ink
an eighth note in motion

My sigh in the morning
just before it heaves from my chest

In the train you found to your consternation
your wallet you had lost--what a disaster!
you couldn't pay the fare of $2 and was in desperation
that unkempt man handed you the sum--he was a beggar!

He who is tired of mankind
is one who first found himself tiresome
to one another, man should be kind
not holding another to ransom.

I am only at my start
me you shouldn't yet judge

I am not vicious
regard me ridiculous!

I start with myself

      with others, next

      the two I string together

      I learn what to let by or annex-



     hard to say what's wrong or right

     both the old and the new I respect

     to the beginning I return at the end

     to a fresh direction my mind I reset

The world is made for everyone

as for me, it's always one-to-one

He's most blessed
who could leave behind
his* muddling mind
he's then at perfect rest.

There's something
I find inexplicable
about a bridge

even the smallest
the most remote
the oldest
neglected
forgotten
dilapidated

especially
if it's wood-made
( that of metal
doesn't appeal
to me)

before me?
what was
their each story?

it's not the crossover
but a symbol
of life, of time
of an unknown individual
an unrecorded chronicle
shrouded in memory
and mystery

a tiny lad was I then
on my lonely way to school
bird-songs I heard
mingled with the water's murmuring
somehow I always felt happy

I return now
after half a century
the wooden bridge
has collapsed
there's a sign that reads:
' No entry'

still there remains
that tall oak-tree
in silent majesty
a bird-song drifts
in the cool air
sounds so familiar
the water is placid
as before-- the row
of wild flowers
has survived time

on a half-broken
chair I sit pensively
lost in reverie.

Ambition
it's hardly fun
you start something new
while the last is still undone!

What are the benefits of being rejected?
scenes to be in the future contemplated
the self should be the citadel that could never be conquered
strengthened by time and experience, the true hero emerged.

Being sure
of unsure
the weight
of things
I measure-
I endure.

Any childhood
has moments of being rude

The heart goes out
for* someone
unconditionally
it seeks to give

About friends,   just a few sentences to write
of enemies,  it would take a whole  long night

Government
just a way of thinking
all I want is butter and bread
when I do my polling!
