Neither thought, feeling
nor language being forced
like a stream in natural flowing
such a poem will be rightly endorsed

No collision of mind and heart
in their fusion is poetry's intrinsic art

To be able to find
just the starting right line
that even eludes the poet's mind
then a poem does itself define

Profusion of grandiose words
       does not good poetry make
       it tends to be too ornate and awkward
       readers to such poet they unkindly take

Sublime poetry outlasts time --never fails in leaving behind
some lingering thoughts and feelings in the reader's mind

They will dump me
I am sure-- look at their eyes-
all because I refused their company
or submit to their lies-

they will label me
an outcast deserving demise
a rotten enemy of society
to be cut to size.

I don't wish life
just words to be
rather these should richly flow
as every note in a symphony

but I do wish to be invited
to the ***** of your beauty
words would then be superfluous
as love finds the place where it should be

I have a gift for you
unseen only felt
hidden in my heart
love takes little delight
in utterance or display
it wishes not to be smart

only to be silent
demure, pure
all else set apart

a bouquet for you
withers too soon
and rust will settle
in time upon a love-card

you too have a gift for me
through your eyes and smile
the sweetest flower of love you impart

two gifts in exchange
that's more than enough
a lifetime to last
love is the eternal language
of the true and faithful heart.

By all means
have fervour
only ensure
you don't fall over!

Fantasy and reality--
the former tickles
the latter stifles

Fragile is the heart
be its body-guard

I'll let you glitter
happy am I to shimmer

Be wary of accepting any gift
it could turn out to be a joy- thief

Much of life is vexation
with its ceaseless repetition

Life is not a commodity
it can't be won over by money

The ultimate beauty
is hidden
it can't be seen
nor stolen

Though I say 'Sayorana'
I'll still hold you from afar

When my heart
is free and open
it will be ready
to welcome religion

When the light has shone
where is the darkness then?
when the shadows are gone
wouldn't life be a friend?

Sanctity is infinitely
more than morality
it is a torch that lights ceaselessly
unto eternity.

Thus said the cynic:
    ' I've SEEN-IT!'

A cynic is one
    no woman should marry
    he is no fun
   makes a joke of matrimony

The cynic learns everyday
    from what others do or say

The cynic was as lost
  as everyone before
  once he found himself
  nothing did he deplore

Which do you prefer-
  rich-some
  or wholesome?

Some mistake their wish-dom
    for wisdom

Verily, the cynic
   is a company of one
   an unpopular bloke
  though no damage he has done

The skin
      of the cynic
      is thick!

Is a cynic a happy man?
   Well, he tries the best he can!

The cynic
  is not out to reform
  his mind he does freely speak
  he causes no storm

Cynicism is the spice of life
      the catalyst that makes humanity survive

Regard not a cynic
  as immoral
  he has honesty
  is at no one's call

It's bad manners
        before others to sigh
        to them it matters
       not--whether you live or die

The shrink
knows less
than you think

Life should be no rebuke
       with this thought I don't dispute

Nothing is of value
       if it means nothing to you

Every love has some folly
  if only a matter of degree

Generosity is so very rare
    seldom found, neither here nor there

Don't invite a cynic
    to your picnic
   what he might say
   could make you sick

Too many dreams I had
sadly I failed
I discarded all but one
happily I prevailed

There's no downside
    let it be but a metaphor
    in your faith abide
    life shouldn't be an error

    what's termed as upside
    is when things are in your favour
    to every opportunity be allied
    live and thrive in fervour.

Life is not about
plus or minus
be content with what you have
there's no need for surplus

Life is a jungle with unclear paths-
many get lost but somehow manage to find their way out in the end.  

What is required is faith, patience, courage and humility.
We are all like Dante somehow at some point of our life.

The loss then becomes a gain
and gone is the angst and pain

Half a mile
is as good as fifty
if the aim is achieved
why need a longer journey?

I chose not to see
      it had nothing to do with me!

There's no accounting for  people's taste
      so many choose to live life in endless haste

That was why
       badly I failed
       too easily I trusted
       I couldn't be bailed!

I don't need to know
only to understand
knowledge does discontent sow
towards my own heart I should bend

If I have silence
      I'd later find
      the right sentence

It's a stark danger
a foot in the door
when it is slammed
your toes wouldn't be as before!
