******-analysis is bunkum
the patient does the talking
the shrink listens and pretends to understand
next he writes a note for the nurse--'$150 is the billing'.

I can't put my faith
in the neuroscientist's MRI machine
brain is not mind which is not measurable
the printout is the result of guesswork--fit for the bin!

Is a single thought
the result of having existed
as part of a pattern in the mind
before being written or articulated?

How often do I use the right words?

It seems I have used more wrong ones in my life-
this must stop!

This is what I should say to myself
when getting up every morning:
'today there are new lessons to learn
don't waste your time idling'.

My neighbour happily
went on holiday
leaving his doggie behind
a  cycle went over its feet--carelessly
the rider rushed away-furtively!

the poor creature
wailed in pain--it was in agony-
my wife and I took it
to the vet nearby--in great hurry
(the bill was $ 175- the vet was quite greedy-
mind you, I am just a pensioner)
it smiled as it left the clinic
its tail it wagged as though to say
'thank you, you made my day!'.

My neighbour returned
a week later and this story
he gathered from a friend Andrew Leigh
(who passed by that morning
coincidentally)

he got into a rage
banged my door and shouted maniacally
' Why didn't you get my permission
before you sent Nancy
to the clinic of Dr Henry?'

I was thirsty
took an empty pail
to the well
but it was dry
(others had been there before)

I would have to dig
a new one
none else
would do that
on my behalf.
