Dream after dream,
The nightmares no longer grace me with your face.
Loneliness calls to my heart,
As you slowly drift away.

The metal bars begin to collaspe,
Freedom beckons me forward.
When you appear before me,
Chains envelop my body in a hug.

Pain sinks into my heart,
The river of tears begin to flow.
As my name leaves your lips,
The desire for escape vanishes.

As if I were a bird in a cage,
I cannot escape the chains that bind me to you.
I am trapped in the image of you,
Where my love is nothing but an unspoken whisper.
Soft rays of light
Dance tenderly in my room at Night
Casting shadows on the ground
And on the floor of my bedroom
Late at Night the Fairies dance
In those rays
The caressing breeze
Waltz through the treetops
While streetlights like crystals shine
All Night long
Little owls in the trees
Hoot and call to each other
Crickets, katydids and tree toads
Sing late at Night
In the softly stirring breeze

I sat by raging waters last night...first a trickle...a tickle upon the arch of my foot...or was that the arch of my humanity...it swirled and whirled consuming me...piece by piece...like a precious last meal...it took it's time...devoured me...fluidity turned fleshly as it moved over me...no...through me...until my own existence was a raging sea...did the very continents collided?...Unbridled furry...yet no hurry...for the waters to hush, calm, sooth, still...I sat by raging waters last night...and...I thought of you...cling safely to the shores of my affections...and rise...

First try at a blitz
Depression is always there,
creeping upon you like a tidal wave.

Loneliness is never far behind it,
waiting to take your hand.

Take what you have,
keep what you’ve got,
it’s better than the latter.

Once depression sets in and loneliness
takes hold
you’ll have a hard fight on your hands
to find what you had
get back what was yours.

Depression is always there,

waiting
Creeping
Tidal wave.

Staring out the window, lying in the dark
Wistfully wishing for moon and stars
But blinded by a streetlight
Blotting out the beauty of a sky at night
As surely as the world seperates you and I

Pressing my face to the glass
I cannot see them, though surely I can feel them
Toying with my mind at the edge of my perception,
Like your hands wrapped 'round my heart
-shining in the distance

The stars will shine again one day,
But I wonder if I'll ever know your face
Or will it remain forever out of reach
-just sparkling light on midnight canvas

Such bittersweet thoughts twist my mood
So I fall asleep to dream of you
-and streetlights turn to stars and moon
Something about this feels... off. Ideas?
