I dare not speak for fear she hears
the trembling of my muted tongue
that I wouldst taste those wasted tears
that from her eyes unjustly wrung

The Darkness bares it's blackened teeth

disturbing memories
from long forgotten shelves,
flesh thinly bound their broken spines
a voice says open me for I am hope

For here in the absence of light

a symbolic shield,
this promise could be anything from pornogrophy to poetry
but yet tonight
pulling the covers tight

for yea though I walk in the valley of death
I will fear no evil, for thou art my rod and staff, thou comfort me...

as I Regain the paradise Milton once lost
when his eyes too blinded
saw the beauty of the Lord.

My love is my salvation, I shall not want.
She maketh me to lie down in sweet seclusion
she bathes my head with cool water
restoring my broken mind:
She layeth her hands upon me, taking from me my pain my ache
and thou I reside within the darkness of my troubled thoughts
I will fear not the dark for she is with me.
Her eyes and her smile they comfort me
Through her words am I cleansed of my daemons
she anoints my brow with kisses as my eyes runneth over.

in muddy puddles

upon a bed
of unread poetry...

inkstained fingers
smudge my eyes

taint my lips.

I scream in exclamation marks!

When the fates seem set against you
and times not on your side,
it's time to take a moment
