DieingEmbers Dec 2012
Earthbound angel...

pray not weep
for lose of heaven

as I will show you
such love
and tenderness
as to rival even the beauty
of the stars
now hung lack lustered
in a forlorn sky...

let my tears reflect in mine own eyes
your pain

let them wash over you
and cleanse
from you
the sin done unto by others

let them be the waters of life
that bring you
such sweet succour
refreshing
tainted lips with renewed faith
in love and man

Bathe your soul within their depths
and know
though others sought to bring you diamonds
I will baptise and exorcise their daemons
from your mind

Earthbound Angel let me at least try
to heal thee.

Little Dove
DieingEmbers Dec 2012
Little dove
brought down by mans desire
to hurt
so tender a heart
of one so beautiful

her once gentle wings
now lay beneath her body

broken by her fall
by his deceitful lies
that stole from her her purity...

River otter weeps at sight of one so pained
his tears cleansing the wounds
anothers words
had caused

his touch comforting
easing her fears
as he uplifted with care what hate
cast down

he tendered to her night and day
and with kisses
healed
her wings allowing once more
her heart to soar...

Little dove flew far from him
weeping
fearing to stay
for fear he too would hurt her

or worse

she would hurt him in return...

but return she must
for she would rather know just one more day
within his arms
than a life time of doubt and regret.

Curl up with me
let me
share with you
a moments peace...

let me stroke your free fallen hair
and nibble soft
your ears
your neck
your upturned chin

let me bite
and graze your lower trembling lip
and open mouthed
**** deeply on your tongue...

tongues entwined
dancing in one anothers mouths

lips wet and warm
locked

as we as one now move within the passion

of this kiss

The Empty Box At Christmas
DieingEmbers Dec 2012
An empty box a pair of socks,
some paper plates and string.
Some bright felt tips and paper clips,
and lots of other things.

Now suddenly the box you see,
as turned into a plane.
A toilet roll a plastic bowl,
and now it is a train.

A fair ground ride a place to hide,
or speedy racing cars.
A comfy bed a flying sled,
a rocket to the stars.

So leave the toys cause girls and boys,
prefere the box you see.
It's safe and fun for ev'ry one,
and best of all it's free.
If youve kids you'll already know this lol

comfort thee
as I once more
depart
taking a part of you

False Joy
DieingEmbers Dec 2012
A florescent moon
hangs high
above
the multicoloured
twinkling stars...

where angels and faeries dance
proclaiming hope
and peace
in flashing neon.

Synthesised choirs sing
as plastic bells
pretend to chime.

Yet
I stand alone
beneath the mistletoe
blowing kisses
hoping they reach you
in time

for Christmas.

Heart & Soul
DieingEmbers Dec 2012
Harken to me my muse
bring forth
from silent mind
thy words
that comfort and uplift me...

give voice
to once muted tongue
to whisper
such sweet nothings
as to bear forth
the joyous tears of lovers.

Give strength to shaking hands...

with-hold not
thy art from me
that I may with renewed strength

make known
my innermost feelings

so pray...

harken to me my muse

and once more free my soul to sing.

Rock a bye Baby
DieingEmbers Dec 2012
A rocking chair for two to share
upon the porch we built
with lemonade and hair in braid
and kisses without guilt

The bullfrogs song moves night along
as stars in heaven play
and you intwine your hand in mine
melting my cares away

The setting sun where wild deers run
marks soft the end of day
you touch my face with gentle grace
and drive all doubts away

The night floats in on silent wings
the cool night air now cold
so come now bed my angel said
this day has grown so old

Remember though before we go
to make it widely known
the rocking chair is ours to share
and ours my love alone
DieingEmbers Dec 2012
Did you really have to go...

could you not have tarried longer.

Made your
excuses to the stars
and moon
to lie gently mere moments more
within my arms

does sleep hold such tender dreams
as to rival the tenderness
I give
when er' I hold you...

can the gentle touch
of you pillow
ever truely replace the lightness
of my lips
caressing your cheek.

Would that I could be the very essence
of your nights
replacing
the cool tranquil breeze
with warmth of breath upon your back

and that the breaking of dawn
could be subdued
by my smile
welcoming you back

although in truth
you would never have left me

for I am...

borne upon your lips
in prayer
and
worn always upon your skin
as scent most innocent

for this is not the mere wanton craving
of your body
close to mine

this is the voice of love
of reason
that sings so gently the lullabies
to ease thy doubtful mind

so if you must leave
then take me with you always

in one final

goodnight

kiss.

DieingEmbers Dec 2012
It's second hand
yet hardly used
though I have found
it's eas'ly bruised
it's bumped and bent
and deeply scarred
yet tender still
and never hard
it's had it's share
of lifes hard knocks
and been around
a dozen blocks
theres signs of cracks
and wear and tear
but it still works
of that I swear
give it a spin
enjoy the feel
of love unspoilt
from a heart that's real.

Old Bear. ( childrens )
DieingEmbers Dec 2012

Billy the Bear he had no hair,
as bald as bald could be.
And never mind that he's half blind,
with but one eye to see.

His nose is broke his voice a croak,
his arms and legs quite weak.
but that's okay you'd hear him say,
if only he could speak.

Cause though he's old he's never cold,
not tucked up next to me.
he's kissed good night and cuddled tight,
and loved so thoroughly.
Thought it was time to pen something sweet. But one eye is a play on button eye

Two Charms One Wish
DieingEmbers Dec 2012
She dropped her anchor
in my port
and then her heart
charming I thought
silver dripping
from my lips
a mere link
to finger tips
that offered me
her clasp undone
chaining two lives
forever one
a bracelet on a silken wrist
her hand upon mine own
as reconnected they became
keys to our happy home.
9-2-5 I work to buy
a new charm every year
and add a fresh new chapter
to a love so rare and dear.

Mistletoe with  berries red
chestnuts roasting, kids in bed
glass of eggnog cheeky kiss
how I live for times like this
wrapping done and stockings filled
brandy warmed and champagne chilled
baking done put up our feet
and sip the drips from lips so sweet
turkey thawed ready to roast
cards all sent by last nights post
treats left out for old St Nick
but maybe add a carrot thick
snowman built and robins fed
so now my love it's time for bed
midnight bells and wicked grin
as one last glass of port and gin
maybe dear before they rise
you could unwrap just one surprise
if you can't find it Neath the tree
then maybe baby. your gifts me
so Merry Christmas all my friends
as with a bang this poem now ends

Flower Faery
DieingEmbers Dec 2012
She wakes the flowers from their beds,
washing with dew their sleepy heads.
She paints their petals fresh and new,
with crimson reds and azure blue.
The bumble bees and butterflies,
from perfumed flowers soft arise.
Taking to wing the gentleness,
of all her love and tenderness.

Walking barefoot
upon the shores of broken dreams
as wave after wave
of despair
washes over me
adding it's own salt to mine
as its ebb joins my flow
of tears...

stones skimmed
bearing the epitaphs of days lost
and
forgotten.

Sirens song echoes my pained cries
as
my heart is forever
broken
by the rising tides

of goodbye.
Hearts carved in sand never survive.
