DieingEmbers
You want to hurt me

it's easy...

Just say goodbye

DieingEmbers
You're here beside me
sleeping softly

and yet

my heart is aching
your absence.
Sleep steals you from me every night

I spotted a mole in my garden

God I hope it's benign
Yes it was had it cut out 1 hr after posting this and now just five stitches and a sore spot.

If this were a film
I'd be nothing more than an extra...

condemned
to wind up
alone
on the cutting room floor,

denied
from ever
speaking the words
I spent
weeks
building up the confidence to say
to you

face to face

cut to a close up of rain
running slowly
down a window pane

as you walk away from camera
never knowing

these
were my tears.

Doctor Doctor I've got an ache
have you a pill that I could take,
to cease this beating in my chest
to give me peace to let me rest.

It doesn't hurt no not as such,
it's just I long to feel her touch.
to taste her lips to smell her skin,
can you not see the state I'm in.

She is my drug my cigarette,
my alcohol my need to bet.
The air I breath the food I eat,
the very ground beneath my feet.

The first the last my ev'ry thought,
the web of dreams in which I'm caught.
The scent I love after a storm,
the way her kisses keep me warm.

On second thoughts doctor forget,
I ever came we ever met.
For it would seem she gives me pain,
because her love drives me insane.

So let me ache for you ... Alone,
and let my need of you be known.
My summer love my Autumn tryst
just know one thing... you're always missed.

Humpty Dumpty what a numpty
thought that he could fly
with paper wings attached with strings
he leapt into the sky

Jack and Jill stood on the hill
and watched him with delight
as up he flew their laughter grew
at such a wondrous sight

The fiddler cat said fancy that
as with her love did spoon
and watched awhile with pleasured smile
the cow jump or' the moon

The blind mice three they didnt see
and neither did they care
for he'll come down and break his crown
like ev'ry fool that dare

Miss Muffet thought it's all for nought
though eggs will one day fly
the spider spoke well then the yolk
will be on that poor guy

The clock struck one the night was gone
the paper wings caught fire
poached or fried Briar Rabbit cried
of both I'll never tire

Thing one thing two yes you and you
don't stand there get a net
and bring green ham oh Sam I am
for breakfast now is set

So read and learn before you burn
the wings your heart hath bore you
for this the end my learned friend
as I wouldn't want to bore you

DieingEmbers
My heart doth stall and falter so
when er' my love thou hath to go
and yet my pain I never show

for fear that I should hurt thee.

For thine Hazel eyes and Chestnut hair
and snow drop skin so white, so fair
doth at my heart and soul so tear

when er' thou don't believe me.

My mind doth wander so unhinged
and lips once cool now embers singed
that on your kisses quaffed and binged

so often and so freely

For  bitter cup pressed here to lips
as time once more from fingers slips
and or' my words my poor tongue trips
trying hard to tell thee

to tell you

to tell you what

to stay to never leave
to just for once me words believe
to see I seek not to deceive

But only here to love you
I may just delete this the rhyme scheme kept fighting me as I tried and stumbled over my own words

With jagged nib
I slit my wrists
and tensed my arm
and squeezed my fist

spilling the life
we could not share
upon the page
headed - despair

in reddened ink
for all to see
that without you
there is no me

My words are smudged
my work misread
the meaning now
like me lies dead

My coffin dear is leather bound
with foreword left to chance

deep

within my heart.
