i thought they were true blue

hammer strikes and sparks
jagged streaks spilling down
dark black anvil clouds

bright, clear, dark brown eyes
looking deeply into mine
a smile grows within
her free and warm acceptance
touching, comforting me
gently inviting

consumed with desire
i toss and turn all night
you make me crazy

i think i am a
fatalistic optimist
accepting what comes
but in love with the process
i know the value of life
and the lessons to be learned
i try to stay positive
with a clear and open mind
so i can learn my lessons
with objectiveness and truth
and it is my firm belief
this will make me free
