Take me on a date
To the poetry club
So we can dance all night
To the words
The creative minds spill from their mouths
Slipping through the holes in the microphone
Only to come out as music

Take me on a date
To the poetry club
So we can drunk the silent thoughts
Of the listening souls seeking for inspiration
And get drunk to the music
That slips through the holes in the microphone

Take me on a date
To the poetry club
So i can admire the way your head tilts
Slightly left when you observe
The standing body embracing
The empty stage
Speaking words filling you to the brim
With love

Love for the poetry club

I am a candle.

My flame is small. It provides no warmth, and just enough light. But it takes only a little bit to get me started. Once I am lit, I will burn for a long while. I may not have much to give, but I will give it all, until I'm just a puddle of spent wax.

I can't endure much. I will follow you, but only if you carry me. I will weather the wind, but only if you shield me. I'll be your hope, your light, your shining star.

I am a candle.

i am interested in people
of a certain type
not the sorts of people
with t-shirts that say 'hype'
not the sort of people
who only think about themselves,
no,
i like the types of people
searching the bookshelves

he
he has
blue eyes
and fluffy hair
and stands stiff
in the town square

he gives money to buskers
and smiles at people who pass
he buys me coffee
and looks into my eyes to see my past
he knows what i am
and he knows what ive done
but he said that i
am his only one

AM
I tried to make
shapes with the clouds
to see the pirate ships
and dragons
bunnies
and whales
that were there not too long ago
but today when I looked
at the floating masses
I became forlorn
with the realization
that all I could see
were clouds
'I slept, and dreamed that life was beauty;
I woke, and found that life was duty.
Was thy dream then a shadowy lie?
Toil on, sad heart, courageously,
And thou shall find thy dream to be
A noonday light and truth to thee.'

and that you don't want to blink
because you might miss something

Only one whom has known darkness...

can ever truely
appreciate

the gentle reassurence

of
the light.
For all my fellow depression suffering friends especially Weeping Willow and Timothy whom like many of you have been there when I needed you most
