 Dec 2013 Dag J
Madisen Kuhn
Curled up beneath the duvet
knees drawn up to chest
inhaling the smokey scent of my fleece
sown fresh nostalgia
I remembered how
we laughed and ate off chinaware
while sipping out of plastic cups
sitting by the fire pit
in the backyard
my eyes wandered
towards the woods at dusk
and I breathed
realizing we are just specks of dust
that glimmer in the light of our Creator.
There's only me
and the night
and I alight
at the next
stop.
Like searchlights in skies, those pretty blue eyes make my days come alive
I arrive at confusion when putting my shoes on to go out and play
wondering if I should stay with you
spend the whole day in wandering through with you the wonder I see in you.

I have the recipe but she makes the dish
I wish
I wished and my wishes came true
if you wished hard too
it could happen to you.
Suddenly,
with one big bang
my world began.
I exploded into consciousness,
nothing less
than a miracle.
Like the sun
I began to shine,
learnt to crawl,to walk to run when
my world begun.
She creeps into the corners of my mind,
I find her there waiting where
she builds our nest.
I rest my eyes upon her face, she faces me,I long to be a little nearer, don't know how to make this feeling clearer, but I try,
she wants to fly
I want to nest but
she knows best.
There is time enough for all of that, time to kiss and hug and chat and time to love a little more.
Tonight she wore a cocktail dress, not to impress, but just to show that she knows what I want to know and I know too,
she waits for me,
I wait for her
somewhere in the corners of my mind.

Youre on my mind

and

the tip
of

my tongue.

She offered me her lips
but I
just had to
decline

as I knew they wouldn't suit me
So I choose
to stick
with mine
Kiss off is refusing it's slang

Unlike Monroe
she never compromised
her heart
for
her art.
In reply to Azaria's poem to me. Her avatar is M.Monroe.
