As though we were in a silent fight.

Pulpit shysters, con men of the cloth,
Boasting, the battle is theirs, not the Lords,
Dared the unseen guest, profanely,
All is well, now, laying between nailed boards;

Somewhere, in the dark continent,
The tropics had all the heat,
Coronavirus surely couldn't stand,
Well seated, many dead, no signs of retreat;

Far East, some crazy, mad scientists,
Playing with their bio toys,
Cook up another RNA weapon,
The Communist, westward, someday deploys;

It's the WWIII,
We eagerly awaited,
Shame, it's fought without explosions,
What a sight! To see civilisations obliterated!

Depopulation strategy of the antichrist,
Yes, he made mention during a talk,
****, he can't even protect his operating system,
From which he made his billions bulk;

Led by an African,
Surely he couldn't be that smart,
Misled the greatest civilisation?
Oh dear! From where do we start?

Our people have never known better,
Good governance is a pipe dream,

Scramble, make a show, of concern,
Develop a vaccine, rake in the billions.

In the town of blind fools,
The one eyed idiot may rule,
In a country of perpetual nincompoops,
The lifeless buffoon will reign.

Grinding, grinding, grinding,
Held by the hand of fate,
Around the dimming of faith,
When hope is difficult to operate in;

There is visible resistance at play,
The pestle strains, demands to be held tightly,
Unyielding stones protest vehemently,
Progress is hard, fine result ages away;

Everything is working in opposition,
Nothing is lending support in the other direction,
Many months after an emotionally charged election,
Very little is left to the imagination;

But something must give,

It's well within my handicap,

To the sweetest thing after warm chocolate.

Clothed in this hot thong,
But how did I see?
My mind stripped her long,
Oh, ****! My zipper came free!

Good habits,
Are difficult to acquire,
Even more difficult are bad habits,
To retire.

Hannah's tearful diatribe,
Swept up to the heavens,
In rivulets of threes, and cascades of sevens,
However ******, by the high priest's jibe;

But Jah's lines are never jammed,
You don't even have to port,
Billions of supplications may have rammed,
But rest assured, you make up his every thought;

And things seem not alright,

Some, I have liked and loved,
Others,  I have loved and had,
But somewhere, in there, all my emotions dissolved,
Leaving me very cold, miserable and sad.

Still, unmoving, and cold,
The blue eats up the warm red,
Then alone, on the long narrow road,
Floating along, floating...leaving behind much unsaid.

And when you die,
Exit on an awesome high,
Float up cheerfully into brightly coloured sky,
And wave us all a merry goodbye.

Knowing everyone cannot be pleased,
Then why try, anyway?
There is peaceful closure,
In realising this simple, yet powerful, conclusion.

The sun, it took a detour,
It went South,
Where all the darkness sparkled,
Then it stayed, for a while;

When the moon strolled east,
It took along the stars,
A blanket of emptiness,
Covering forgotten lands;

The baobab stretches leafy appendages,
Inviting the lonely acacia,
The obeche remembers greeny times,
When the forest was quiet and  homely.

Give love to family,
And cheer those that aren't,
Make merry all, together, happily,
Offer peace to them that can't.

The month came,
To me, of the same,
Need to feel good,
Again, 'cos I am no wood.

On either side of,
The crimson divide,
Sat two hearts that,
Beat out untruths.

A teaspoon of doubt,
And a tablespoon of suspicion,
A generous amount of affection,
And a truckload of loyalty.

Into this world came he,
This child, not wild, but beautiful,
The long awaited arrival,
Couldn't have ended any better;

Through the years, he grew,
Enough to see through dark patches,
And into a bearded youth, indebted,
To the graces of better offs;

Thus continued a struggle,
Between conscious good,
Or a pestering evil,
Contesting for time in the fore;

The fair kind caught his eye,
Stirred his inner workings,
His waist will dance to the rhythm,
Of one or two melodies of his choosing;

Responsibility came alongside,
Charged to forsake all else,
In the presence of know and unknown,
And none to make any objection;

In a few moons came tiny ones,
Spitting images of either ***,
Left to wonder how on earth,
One should be blessed, or  even at all?

From hell came an amazing light,
A spectacle, a bedazzling sight,
It went out in to the people,
To cause many a deceiving ripple.

Like a lily on a rainy day,
Absolute marvel on display,
She's restless, this is true,
But brightens up, all, the moody blue.

"Don't touch me!"
She screamed!!
But her face sweetly beamed,
When I pulled her, very close, to me.

The more, the more,
Constantly, never stopping,
It is what we prayed for,
All day, to keep on raining, raining.

And cast they, him, Shadrach,
And alongside, Meshach,
Bound with them, too, Abednego;

But cold raged the fire,
Even seven times hotter,
For within stood the glorious One;

Spake He to the inferno,
As though it were snow,
"Touch not these, my annointed sons."

Our biases have brought us nothing,
But everything we shouldn't be,
Restricted by the things that ought not,
Trapped in the hypocrisy we call reality.

If there be,
Then all would find,
Peace at the end,
But have we?

The almond of her eyes,
And the sweetness of her thighs,

Able to export good and evil,
Keeping its core untouched,
Turning tables at every turn;

If humanity makes it,
Albeit battered and bruised,
The ranking of nations will be revised,
To show, now, the true world power.

The perpertuating expanse of the skies,
The love in a woman's eyes,
Mysteries man will forever contemplate,
More so, with you, since our first date.

For the loyalty of a child,
Cannot be in doubt,
In the face of uncertainty,
Rest assured;

Where the bond between,
Parent and child is true,
Then trust is not afar,
Belief, even stronger.
