We're locked down, by order,
The body, none the wiser,
Will crave nourishment,
Of all sorts, moment by moment.
Dada Olowo Eyo Dec 2018
Good title for a Nollywood flick,
Script writers assemble!
One week to belt out a wobble,
But try not to get into trouble;

So, rumour around town,
That a Sudanese man is actually...in Aso Rock!,
Wonders shall never cease in that country,
But what effrontery!

"Well, could be fictional, this matter,"
"Don't take it literally,"
Posited a recent opposition egghead,
Playing advocate for the other coconut head;

That country is in trouble,
Caught in several problems,
There seems no respite in sight,
Even with assurances from the president, the other night;

Hell, what's the difference anyway,
The real one was no better,
The people of state should accept their fate,
Now, before it is too late.
IPOB says Buhari, the Nigeria president is cloned. The president said that it is the real self. Washington Post said that that is what a clone would say, anyway. Shehu Sanni said that the matter shouldn't be taken literally. And Nigerians wouldn;t just let it go.

Something's not right,
But I may be wrong,
Dancing to an unwelcome song,
As though we were in a silent fight.

Even when the sun shines,
Over the hills and climes,
The chill of the harmattan morning,
Cheers us on until the dawning.

Shameless lectern robbers,
Pulpit thieves!
They have no qualms,
Duping the simple of GOD;

In a time of fear and great confusion,
They devise means of wanton avarice,
Taking from the poor and needy,
Unto themselves, ****** gluttons!

Corona, here's an assignment for you,
Pay them a quick visit,
Yes, the ones that see it all,
Now, let's see, if they SEE you coming!
It's a big shame that human beings that have elevated themselves into the position of the oracle of the most high continue to perpetrate and progress in stealing from the people.
Pastors, they call themselves, devising means of collecting all sorts of payments vouched in fancy religious garbs of offerings, tithes and whatnot.
They haven't found unique ways of reaching out to soothe the worries of their flock, bring them comfort in trying COVID-19 times but all they are after is their greedy bellies.
If people the world over don't realise the folly in their service to these pastors of deceit now, then no hope of ever having any sense again, forever.

Love found me broken,
And left me a token,
Then my heart got stolen,
Because my ego was swollen.
Dada Olowo Eyo Feb 2019
Thrown into wailing and sorrow,
Day suddenly turns dark,
Many a heart broken,
And many more shattered;

Father against his daughter,
Mother despises her son,
Uncle fights his nephew,
Aunt derides her niece;

Neighbourhoods at war,
Communities at daggers drawn,
Hamlets in peril,
Towns go up in flames;

The light has burned out,
The future is quenched,
Many felled by bullets,
Others hacked to pieces;

The make the headlines,
Blood spilled unnecessarily,
They leave loved ones behind,
And a country unwilling to change.
Yet again many have died during the 2019 presidential election in  Nigeria. The cost of previous bloodshed have never been atoned for, now this. Women hacked into pieces, young folks hit by stray bullets, ballot box snatchers mobbed to death. The principal actors pretend everything is okay until karma happens, and it will. SHAME.

The world is on edge,
And rightly so, too,
From caskets strewn like *******,
To withdrawn funding for WHO;

Like something off a horror story,
What's left is for reanimated dead,
Flesh eating, mindless monsters,
Only lead to the friggin' head!

Pulpit shysters, con men of the cloth,
Boasting, the battle is theirs, not the Lords,
Dared the unseen guest, profanely,
All is well, now, laying between nailed boards;

Somewhere, in the dark continent,
The tropics had all the heat,
Coronavirus surely couldn't stand,
Well seated, many dead, no signs of retreat;

Far East, some crazy, mad scientists,
Playing with their bio toys,
Cook up another RNA weapon,
The Communist, westward, someday deploys;

It's the WWIII,
We eagerly awaited,
Shame, it's fought without explosions,
What a sight! To see civilisations obliterated!

Depopulation strategy of the antichrist,
Yes, he made mention during a talk,
****, he can't even protect his operating system,
From which he made his billions bulk;

Led by an African,
Surely he couldn't be that smart,
Misled the greatest civilisation?
Oh dear! From where do we start?

Our people have never known better,
Good governance is a pipe dream,
Here's another scheme to enrich politicians,
Juicy donations flowing in like a stream;

The big pharms engineered this,
Let loose something to **** millions,
Scramble, make a show, of concern,
Develop a vaccine, rake in the billions.
The truth's out there, somewhere.
Dada Olowo Eyo Mar 2019
In the town of blind fools,
The one eyed idiot may rule,
In a country of perpetual nincompoops,
The lifeless buffoon will reign.
Enough said. SHAME.
Grinding, grinding, grinding,
Held by the hand of fate,
Around the dimming of faith,
When hope is difficult to operate in;

There is visible resistance at play,
The pestle strains, demands to be held tightly,
Unyielding stones protest vehemently,
Progress is hard, fine result ages away;

Everything is working in opposition,
Nothing is lending support in the other direction,
Many months after an emotionally charged election,
Very little is left to the imagination;

But something must give,
Now, or later,
The former, better,
All in, all in! Live!
Nigeria is evolving right before our very eyes!
After eight years of terrible governance, the present administration is saddled with reversing at great speed then doing the most incredible 180° in modern history to face the right direction.

On this dark road,
Would you ride with me?
Even if fears raised questions,
Would your confidence shut them up?

There are the things,
That frighten us,
Into doing things,
That harden us.

It's well within my handicap,
To try and outdo my peers,
Sometimes I receive nauseating jeers,
But most times I get a thundering clap;

I can't relate much,
Love is far from me,
Terrible at daring or lunch,
Or a warm evening by the sea;

They say I'm a savant,
An autistic with amazing gift,
Raised by my doting aunt,
She put in everything, and an extra shift.
Nature compensates.

Throws tantrums all around,
Access was continuously denied,
To the sweetest thing after warm chocolate.

Clothed in this hot thong,
But how did I see?
My mind stripped her long,
Oh, ****! My zipper came free!
Who's the devil here?

Even more difficult are bad habits,
To retire.

Hannah's tearful diatribe,
Swept up to the heavens,
In rivulets of threes, and cascades of sevens,
However ******, by the high priest's jibe;

But Jah's lines are never jammed,
You don't even have to port,
Billions of supplications may have rammed,
But rest assured, you make up his every thought;

By HIS design,
Daily tears may now resign,
Two worlds, all, in one birth,
Fervent prayers doth berth;

Bundles of awesome joy,
Jah gives, double, a reason,
One adorable girl, and an awesome boy,
Two worlds, and a happy season.
My cousins finally have twins, a boy and a girl; after a very long wait.

Perhaps our relationship,
Was a dusty smokescreen,
And the years of pretend friendship,
Were an unnecessary din.
Dada Olowo Eyo Mar 2018
But we are not at war,
This peace of ours demands too much blood,
Life has become an easy offering,
To the gods of acrimony and senseless aggrandisement.
Daily we see and hear killings, bloodshed of civilians, soldiers and the like in Nigeria and I wonder when we became lesser than human i our daily interactions???

The treasury is nigh empty,
Oh, what troubling times,
To arise with stomach full of hunger,
And behold my sweet mattress with a heart full of anger.

Minding my business,
The world outside,
Moving on without interest.

Sometimes the skies aren't bright,
And things seem not alright,
The misalignment of the stars,
And success held behind bars;

Then the sun shines again,
And we're not reminded of our pain,
Glory to the heavens!
For the renewal of the seasons!
On the road to perfection, we're at the eight milenof our journey as a couple, my wife and I, traveling with our children on this journey to greatness.

Some, I have liked and loved,
Others,  I have loved and had,
But somewhere, in there, all my emotions dissolved,
Leaving me very cold, miserable and sad.
Dada Olowo Eyo Sep 2015
Still, unmoving, and cold,
The blue eats up the warm red,
Then alone, on the long narrow road,
Floating along, floating...leaving behind much unsaid.
What happens when we have breathed our last???
Dada Olowo Eyo May 2014
And when you die,
Exit on an awesome high,
Float up cheerfully into brightly coloured sky,
And wave us all a merry goodbye.
Dada Olowo Eyo Sep 2019
Knowing everyone cannot be pleased,
Then why try, anyway?
There is peaceful closure,
In realising this simple, yet powerful, conclusion.
Dada Olowo Eyo Apr 2019
The sun, it took a detour,
It went South,
Where all the darkness sparkled,
Then it stayed, for a while;

When the moon strolled east,
It took along the stars,
A blanket of emptiness,
Covering forgotten lands;

The baobab stretches leafy appendages,
Inviting the lonely acacia,
The obeche remembers greeny times,
When the forest was quiet and  homely.
Nigeria has ten million children out of school, may be more, but the reality of it all is that in twenty to thirty years time, that country will real the ****** reward of their negligence. WORD!

Give love to family,
And cheer those that aren't,
Make merry all, together, happily,
Offer peace to them that can't.
You can only do so much.

The month came,
To me, of the same,
Need to feel good,
Again, 'cos I am no wood.
At the red table, many things become scarlet.
Dada Olowo Eyo Jul 2020
On either side of,
The crimson divide,
Sat two hearts that,
Beat out untruths.
Pretending all is forgiven is the highest form of deceit.

A teaspoon of doubt,
And a tablespoon of suspicion,
A generous amount of affection,
And a truckload of loyalty.
Dada Olowo Eyo Oct 2022
Into this world came he,
This child, not wild, but beautiful,
The long awaited arrival,
Couldn't have ended any better;

Through the years, he grew,
Enough to see through dark patches,
And into a bearded youth, indebted,
To the graces of better offs;

Thus continued a struggle,
Between conscious good,
Or a pestering evil,
Contesting for time in the fore;

The fair kind caught his eye,
Stirred his inner workings,
His waist will dance to the rhythm,
Of one or two melodies of his choosing;

Responsibility came alongside,
Charged to forsake all else,
In the presence of know and unknown,
And none to make any objection;

In a few moons came tiny ones,
Spitting images of either ***,
Left to wonder how on earth,
One should be blessed, or  even at all?
Dada Olowo Eyo Dec 2015
From hell came an amazing light,
A spectacle, a bedazzling sight,
It went out in to the people,
To cause many a deceiving ripple.

Like a lily on a rainy day,
Absolute marvel on display,
She's restless, this is true,
But brightens up, all, the moody blue.
Dada Olowo Eyo Feb 2013
"Don't touch me!"
She screamed!!
But her face sweetly beamed,
When I pulled her, very close, to me.
Dada Olowo Eyo May 2016
The more, the more,
Constantly, never stopping,
It is what we prayed for,
All day, to keep on raining, raining.
Dada Olowo Eyo Oct 2015
And cast they, him, Shadrach,
And alongside, Meshach,
Bound with them, too, Abednego;

But cold raged the fire,
Even seven times hotter,
For within stood the glorious One;

Spake He to the inferno,
As though it were snow,
"Touch not these, my annointed sons."
Dada Olowo Eyo Nov 2019
Our biases have brought us nothing,
But everything we shouldn't be,
Restricted by the things that ought not,
Trapped in the hypocrisy we call reality.
Dada Olowo Eyo Feb 2020
If there be,
Then all would find,
Peace at the end,
But have we?
Nothing is everything for something.

And the sweetness of her thighs,
The spirit in her laughter,
All make her a rare wonder.

Heartbreak caught me,
Off guard, and hopeless,
No help, even from above.

One rose, in a field of tulips,
Hot red, hotter lips,
Step in to pluck,
Wish me some luck.

Pure, like the morning dew,
This, she has docked,
Until, with the one, she will do.

Perfect emotional decoy,
And you fell so gullibly,
You became her willing toy,
To be used, and discarded, ever so terribly.
Dada Olowo Eyo Apr 2020
In times of difficulty,
Many reveal themselves,
The true nature is made known,
And put on display for all to see;

But in peace times,
You can make all talk,
Beat your chest at rivals,
Project an image of invincibility;

Then comes a damning curve,
Like the one a pandemic draws,
Showing weakness of inept proportions,
Struggling to make sense of it all;

You see a truly great nation,
Able to export good and evil,
Keeping its core untouched,
Turning tables at every turn;

If humanity makes it,
Albeit battered and bruised,
The ranking of nations will be revised,
To show, now, the true world power.
Countries like Nigeria aren't on this table.
It's the Communists and Capitalists.
Where the Capitalists have gone on to perpetuate a mighty image over the century,  the Communists have arrived and in a mightier fashion.
Nothing has exposed the Capitalists like the COVID-19 pandemic and sent them scampering in all directions.
The Communists alleged to have sponsored a state sanctioned biological warfare that didn't spread to their capital city, simply reached in to their well stocked arsenal and whipped out enough to deal the disease or infection decisive blow.
Now the Communists are offering aid in human or material resources to their biggest rivals, the Capitalists.

The perpertuating expanse of the skies,
The love in a woman's eyes,
Mysteries man will forever contemplate,
More so, with you, since our first date.

For the loyalty of a child,
Cannot be in doubt,
In the face of uncertainty,
Rest assured;

Where the bond between,
Parent and child is true,
Then trust is not afar,
Belief, even stronger.
When my child woke up restless in the middle of the night and cuddled on my chest, I myself pressed to answer nature's can call, I only could please for her to allow me go; I gave her my mobile phone and said, "hold this for me, I'll be back." Many minutes later, I found her still sitting up, waiting for me; and after she handed me the phone, my two-year old said, "take," then went back to sleep. I was beyond impressed...forever.

And there are many millions,
Even billions,
Yet fate had her way,
Crossing our paths the very day;

Many months later,
Chatted...texted,
Friendship getting better,
And we have talked!

You're my highpoint,
Of this year,
You're so on point,
My GingerBread dear,

Go on and have a great new year,
Many magical moments,
With absolute zero torments. #BirthdayVERSES >>> Adeola Ojo CEO Adehola Creations :D :D :D :D
