Fear befriends me,
Wraps me in blind embrace,
In the stillness of space,
Harmony is all I see.

With bags of gratification,.
We sell to them four years,
And live through the pain and tears,
Not learning, we go through the motion.

Comes to them naturally,
And we gobble ever so stupidly,
Every four years, this tradition,
Carries on without emotion.

All is black,
In abundance or lack,
With deliberate oversight,
We step around that impending fight.

In times of harvest,
Or long periods of arid rest,
Each to its season,
To be engaged, and with plenty of reason.

Doth thine form require new naming?
Such magical framing,
Graceful, sublime, in fluid motion.

Will he arise, another,
To give us a bother?
Will he, now,  be stronger,
And fearlessly move across the border?

Aye! A look alike?
Such fearsome semblance,
He boasts untamed advance,
Daring a counter strike.

He shook the leaves vigorously,
Threatening vengeance and blood,
They had riddled his master callously,
And now they would pay with tidal crimson flood.
