The noisy calm shook the placid hall,
Eggheads in randomized order,
Knocking over spirited coconut heads,
Assembling to Brownian zigzaggedness.

Rhythmic back and forth,
Entire shaft getting frothy,
Eyes roll back, mouthing gibberish,
Releasing gleefully with climatic relish.

Suppressed by fear,
Chained by shame,
Then came fame,
And forced all to hear.

And where was your love,
When the entire world turned?
But you claimed ours was eternal,
Yet left me to be burned?

All my love, I invested in us,
Only for you to betray my trust,
You promised forever, and ever,
But all that didn't matter;

Because you fed me lies,
Treated me to grand deceit,
Brought me out in the open,
And told me our love was broken.

Broken pieces of self,
Dusty upon the lone shelf,
Alone in the dark corner
Covered in shame forever.

Many hungry mouths in Sudan,
A messy plate isn't a status symbol,
Remember the empty stomachs in Venezuela.
