7:26am
is where it all began.
Angry words were being thrown
back and forth between a woman
and a man.

A little girl woke up from her dream,
as she heard her name in between those screams.
Tears spilled from her eyes as she began to cry,
asking questions that mostly began with why.

7:26am
a tale of two lovers comes to an end,
leaving a girl with a broken heart
that cannot be mend.

Take my hand to continents only known in the books,
the blue maps on tiny tables sat in stacks
ready for the lesson on Mexico, or thereabouts- third this week because
the timetable is weak, poorly thought through and cobbled
together out of half-dressed evenings in the lounges of
teachers; ones once loved by the master and mistresses, leaders
of the well dressed and caretakers.

Take my feet and walk with them, balancing
on borders separating language and currency,
the gymnast's beam looking out over the forestry,
its taller trees than you and me standing upon toes tipping
down towards the urgent ground, urgently warning to stay
upright and stick around, with her holding your hand.

Goodbye

I'm sorry,
but I haven't been coping well lately.
I hope you'll forgive me,
and be able to save me.

So many thoughts on my mind,
and all of them screams "I'm not fine.".
I hope you might be kind,
and won't let me cross that line.

I have set a date,
on the day I graduate,
to end my fate.
So don't be late.

I've thought this through,
there's nothing that you can do.
I don't belong here, it's true.
This shall be my goodbye to you.

waking up
and not dreading
the day
imagine
going to sleep
and dreaming of happiness
not nightmares

our loved ones
holding us
throughout life
and leading the way

death being
something that just
happened when it

I fall in love when I am lonely
4. I won't be able to look in the mirror and be happy
5. I can not fall in love after ***.
6. My need for affection is insatiable.
7. I somehow convinced myself I will be the Anastasia to one of these Mr.Greys
8. I feel that two is the loneliest number
9. As long as you touch me I will love you
10. I wont be able to look in the mirror and be happy
11. I know I said that twice
1. I do not know how to love people properly.
2. This includes myself.
A wise man once asked
If a turtle lost its shell,
Does it still have a home?

Pretty thought provoking
Even to the thoughtless ones
Without brains in their dome.

Imagine you’re living
in a terrifying world
Where the skies are blue-less.

Where there is no sunshine,
But there is a shining son
Roaming around and shoeless.

He used to have a home—
It perished in a dark storm
That never existed.

For he had dreamed a dream
He was living lavishly;
Gratefulness resisted.

He woke up with nothing
And everything was going wrong
Asking himself “why me?”

Whining about the loss
of his lavish home, when he
should be saying “try me!”

This man’s obviously
inconsiderate of those
who have it even worse.

Because there’s a turtle
out there— no shell for shelter
Still living lavishly.
Told by my creative writing teacher, as an assignment to go home and write a poem, of any sort, and this is what I came up with.

I was also talking with one of my buddies that day, and he told me about his first experience at a Chinese restaurant. His first ever fortune cookie read "If a turtle lost it's shell, does it still have a home?" and he said he will never forget that. It made me think a lot, so I decided to write a poem about my thoughts on it.
