I bet, you wish
I had fish hooks for eyes
So you could easily reel me in
& bait me your lies.
Then cast me back out into your sea
of butterflies
beautiful disguised
as nothing more than the cry
of saying you cared.
You would always ironically say,
"There's plenty fish in the sea!"
Well, there's more fish in the sea to a fisherman fishing for greed,
than there is to a fish trying to swim free whose bleeding from the hook you so innocently placed in my eyes.
To hold me in spite of the lies,
& in spite of what I was feeling inside.

All you ever wanted was an easy ride back to shore
the more I fought, the more you wanted me more and more.
I didn't ask for this. But I was hooked by your stupid line.
Fortunately this will never happen.
For I do not,
have fish hooks for eyes.
