My New Found Fashion Trend

You know I never really understood
How they wear their pants that way
Pull them down to their knees
And walk around all day

But they say it is the fashion
It's a new trend I should try
That underwear is very cool
And catches peoples eyes

So I decided I should try it
I pulled my pants down way too far
Then to show the world how hip I was
I walked through Central Park

All the children were excited
I saw them point my way
They even told their teacher
But she made them look the other way

Well then two cop's they came running
I assumed to see my style
I thought my trend was catching on
But the cop's they didn't smile

Those cops they'd start a new trend
One I didnt like as much
They put my hands behind my back
And slapped on silver cuffs

Now this jail cell seems so small
With this big man next to me
He says he'll be my best friend
And that he likes just what he sees

So glad to see the courtroom
Filled with people from the streets
But they say rethink your fashion trend
If you're wearing a G-String

Now the judge he was not happy
But he did not give me time
He said wear a G-String where you want
No one can take that right

You see the Judge he wore a G-String
Underneath his long black robe
He did not find me guilty
So a free man I could go

So I walked outside of the courtroom
As a free man once again
And became so very famous
For my new found Fashion Trend

Change The Inner You

When you look back at your life
If you don't like the view
Then you must look within yourself
And change the inner you

Change the way you see yourself
With all the things you do
Give yourself a different look
A different point of view

Show a side that's seldom seen
And allow for something new
Create your own reflection
And do it just for you

It is only when you're honest
With what you see inside
That you create the image
Of what's seen within your eyes

When you look back at your life
If you don't like the view
Then you must look within yourself
And change the inner you

I Give You My Word
-
Listen closely to what someone says
Then wait for what they do
For its only then that you will know
If the words they say are true

Give to them a chance to shine
And let them find their way
But hold them to their promises
Make them keep the words they say

Know that trust is not just given
That sometimes it must be earned
For a promise once it's broken
Make a person just feel burned

You can sit back and be quiet
Not let your voice be heard
But if you do then dont complain
When you get what you deserve

Listen closely to what someone says
Then wait for what they do
For it's only then that you will know
If the words they say are true

The Ride Of Your Life

It begins as you are just a child
As you wait each year to grow
You watch as others go there first
Then you reach your stepping stone

They say there's rules to this ride
And try to lock you in your place
You begin your uphill journey
With a smile upon your face

You go slowly up a long steep hill
As you enjoy the scenic view
Then you rest a moment at the top
As time stands still for you

You crest the hill and begin to fall
Heart beating in your chest
The bottom comes so very fast
But your rides not over yet

You hit that curve you dont expect
And you hang on for your life
It throws you through a loopty loop
Then it rights you just in time

A few more hills and one last turn
Then a slow unwanted stop
You're happy that you took life's ride
But Lifes ride's not long enough

The story of life with many ups and downs.
At times it throws you curves and send you spinning.
In the end like any good ride, im guessing,  you're going to want to do it all again.
Enjoy lifes ride you only get one.

A parents job is always tough there are no guarantees

There Are No Guarantees

Sometimes no matter what we do
It is still there life to lead
Outcomes for the choices made
Cannot be guaranteed

Experience may just speak the truth
Still sometimes they will not hear
You hope one day they'll understand
And know that you've been there

Sometimes it matters what you say
Your actions play a part
The outcomes for a life well lived
You hope they take to heart

You need to see they understand
The true love you feel inside
Learn life lessons without regret
So they need never hide

Still sometimes no matter what we do
It is still their life to lead
A parents job is always tough
There are no guarantees

Second Chances

If I were given a second chance
I Know what I would do
I'd take that chance and use it
To fall in love with you

I would somehow show you how I feel
And let you see inside
Not leave my feelings bottled up
My love I would not hide

I would give to you all I have
And allow for something new
Create that special moment
Known only by a few

If  I were given a second chance
I know what I will do
I would take that chance and use it
To fall in love with you

One day
One day
I’ll kick this drug
Full of intimacy
One day
I’ll stick to this drug
Full off happy chemicals
One day
I’ll hold her hand
And His
As I walk through those gates
And forget this pain

You left those conversations
Behind, as if they never happened.

You lived to find yourself in moments
Captured forever by others.

How kind these words make me
The end of words.

Your kisses fade so fast
The explosion of energies
Disappears into the dead air of our nights
Into this sparkling city
Escapes into our starless sky

These mountains are so different here
I search for home but it feels so far away

There are oceans and deserts
Mountain ranges.

The leathered devils,
Who you treated as gods
Were unrelenting.
Gave us shots of whiskey out of rusted glasses.
They took you as they did i,
On their stainless chariots
To the darkest reaches
Places only they could find.
It's a wonder we ever came out alive.
Those deviled prospects pushed their words
Through us, and through us
Onto you.
You, never deserved their twisted fates.

you whisper against my skin and I look down at the cave that’s in my chest, gaping and dark and bottomless, shouts echoing off the walls. you never let me rest, tapping and tapping at the insides of my skull. an isolated night heaves up in front of me, motionless and quiet and all the while, tapping and tapping. I can’t eat for the sound, can’t sleep, but I listen and stare as shapes and seconds shift by and fog rolls into my eyes. tides rise and break in my stomach, swells crashing over my eyelids, threatening to escape my mouth.

I’m sorry
I just wasn’t up to
the emotional dishonesty
and ******-drama
required to ****** you
and give you your excuse
to tell the world, later
how you were disappointed
again
by another man

Sometimes I feel the ceiling falling,
but that's just peripherals hauling shadows and crows calling from fallows.
Reality isn't changing, only my perception falling down,
aging and growing wicked angry and spiteful just 'cause I let it,
spitting lines of depression and hostile succession,
holding onto negative lessons,
refuting positive progression at the expense of intense spiritual expansion,
shunning the silver lining,
running too scared for shining sun to brighten the mood,
lighten the load, smooth the road,
crack the code of the looming clouds of the crowded skyline out the small window of the attic,
where I go to feed the addict and think about how my time would be better spent
playing roulette with russians and using automatics,
crack crack,
future's silent.

That's not really me, couldn't be, quietly pondering failures of loathing and perpetual black
clothing hiding scars of bygones instead of healing, sealing the skin like new, forging a
better view, starting to get a clue.

It's time for a change.
