when you have bequeathed wings to your friends
they will always fly
but will remember who it was gave them flight

hearts hung up on branches
no more songs no more singing
The war lost

I am in deep now
held in the strength of ages
silence loves me
all over
Inside and out

carrying the burden of the body
how the soul wishes to be free
to see the door opened
eternity spread out welcoming
finally flying out its cage
gone forever with a wave

aged bodies
the payment of years
lived
Hearts as big as engines
expanded by love
self giving
They walk side by side
in- step in-tune
that old couple know more of loving
than any youngsters alive
You arrive at my door
my blessed gift, with sweetest words
that lift me unto the skies
to soar within the sunbeams of your affection
I pray there never comes a day
that my eyes do not meet yours
over morning coffee and tender words
Heads bowed, hearts touching
May we always linger here.

wobbly circus ball
spinning webs through stars
all creatures trying to stay upright
pulled this way
then the other
its a real art form
passed generation to generation

ran to silence to hear the perfect song
embraced forever
forever
to hear the perfect song

eyes survey a distant horizon
and eyes see
what the heart loves
what the body cannot reach
where the soul is mingled
dissipated and whole

That poetess flew across the sky;
her poems embroidered in red silk .
Blazed light bright shining;
her smile and wit and weave.
And all we are left with is mist;
fragrances of her poems perfumes
too strong for the sun to eclipse
or break through her passing gift.

I accept pain in all its forms
as love tokens;
they keep me from attachments
to the passing wonders of this world.
Blessing in disguise love knows all.

I have felt loved
love made real;
most real
when most in need

I smoke like a dragon but never chased one
and I drink bottles of red but am no expert
I am always behind with any form of housework
and pray God send me a gardener
I write at this table that needs cleaning
but when alls said and done im reasonably happy
and im sure Saint Peter at the gates wont hold any of it against me
fingers crossed
