Tonight

I hold no anger,
There is no grudge,
I have forgiven,
I believe we can rise above.

You are uncertain,
Things moved too fast,
Your actions are understandable,
I hope you can put them in the past.

Our bond has not been broken,
My love remains the same,
You are my everything,
Please don’t live in shame.

Pull all the pieces together,
Do what your heart feels to be right,
Live and let live,
I need you tonight.

All of us are here
There’s silence in the air
A stillness all about us

Dust from a moth’s wing
Covers everything
Glowing in the quiet

Floating through the air
Light means nothing here
For there is no darkness

Shining milky skin
Free from all the sin
For thousands of years

Standing on the surface
Calm without a purpose
On our silver marble

We are not at home
We are not alone
We are all new here
This was written a while back in order to describe what I saw when listening to the song Compliante La De Butte. Beautiful song, hard to find though.

i sometimes wonder...

at the rhythm of the rain
the fever just beneath the skin

the shimmer of the morning dew
the feeling i get with you

where are unused teardrops stored
why are the lonely so often ignored

do flowers feel love or pain
when they're cut and given away

i wonder...

why love makes the moon so bright
where the day goes when it's chased by the night

why some people feel the need
to sit and watch their lover bleed

if the world stopped how many would want to get off
if the day is over is it forever lost

would you want to bring it back again
but only the parts that you could win

i wonder...

do babies know they fill a need
a mothers heart gladly receives

how two hearts meld into one
when you find the right one to love

could a fish swim the seven seas
how long must you wait for a bended knee

can all in life that you take to the heart
change the outcome of who you are

i wonder...

why i miss love the way i do
why are thoughts unsaid most often true

why does the heart feel a need for change
when there's the slightest bit of rain

could love be given in return
if that love was never earned

if there was no mercy, love, or grace
what would take its place

a few things that i wonder about
i only wish i could figure out
as i sit and wonder...

May
No silver lining to this cloud
gray, even more so damp.
Pouring down on my soul as I just lay
I lay here and cry as the rain hides my pain.
Getting sick is no concern, but my heart aches and cramps.

I long for her eyes, so bright and aware of my innermost secrets.
Now I sit, for her return to my arms wide open.
One more bottle to open, she will arrive.
To wipe these tears from my eyes.
Those beautiful lips and beaming smile, it drives me wild.

From above I hear our song, and I sing along.
She is no where near me, rather so very far away.
Hiding away, waiting for me to join her, maybe I will someday.
Six feet beneath the dirt she sleeps in silence.
I feel her here, next to me. My darling, my sweet, my wife May.

when you see rain
what do you think of
is it the pain
or is it the love

you can change the mask
that you always wear
but the real task
is to make a tear

and reveal the inside
pull down the wall
refuse to hide
where you fall

you see, you gotta be real
cut the lies
and just say how you feel
before you say your goodbyes

in the end, it always comes out
you think you know whats right
beyond any doubt
so then you try and fight

but its all too much
and you start to drown
you beg for just a touch
but it only pulls you down

we get by on okay
barely learn to float
forced to stay
outside the boat

so when you see the rain
do you even care
or do you try to stay sane
while life’s not fair

One day, my love
We will find a place just for us,
a place where we wont be disturbed.

A place where the heater will break,
forcing us to cuddle together,
under mountains of blankets.

We can watch the sun rise from the balcony,
with a coffee in one hand,
and each other in the other.

A place where we have a room,
dedicated to music,
guitars every where,
and instruments we can't play.

A place where we can grow old together,
protect one another,
and love each other.

And outside,
we will hang a sign that says,
"Our Somewhere"
One of my latest hope you enjoy :)

Even if we make it,
Do you think we’ll be alright?
Will we make each other laugh still?
Will you want to hold me tight?
Every day that passes,
Do you think our love will grow?
Or will we wake up one morning
Not knowing where to go?
The questions that scare me

There's a house on the street
There's a room in the house
There's a bed on the room
There's a man on the bed

He has a mind that flies
A soul that blows
A heart that loves
and a force that cries

An idea on his mind
a struggle in his head
the words that he can't find
to express when he'll be dead.

There's a poet in the bed
with the spirit of a child
a spirit driving wild
the end waits just ahead.

As I lay here
My mind turns blank,
Though flooded with memories,
Only one moment
Lingers.
I could be
Remembering the smell
Of freshly packed hay
And crisp callouses on your
Fingers,
Or the way
Your hammock would swing
And I would sing;
You'd lie and say I was a
Singer.

As I lay here
Bound to one thought,
I wish I was not.
I close my eyes
And see that she smiles
The same smile
I used to have.
I open my eyes
And see it's still dark,
So I stare at nothing.

As I lay here
My breath lingers
As if it could catch up to you,
And then stay.
As I lay here
I find that my fingers
Are tapping the same rhythm
Your heart used to tap.
As I lay here
I sing without choice,
And in your voice
I hear I'm a singer.

i always thought that this meant something more,
something with meaning i couldnt ignore,
the hearts unfold,
meanings erode,
skin withered away,
our souls left to stay,
lost in a fire,
our lives on a single wire,
loveless,
dancing in a gruesome fight,
crosses turned,
people to be burned,
as the people cry,
they know its time to die,
for the grim reaper
is the soul keeper.

I Saw Perfect

Today I looked in
And I saw a perfect face
A smile that lit up the room
When others looked your way

There was this calm about you
As you looked around the room
Knowing just what you want
And who is right for you

You looked my way and smiled
And I wondered who you saw
Not realizing it was me
That you searched for all along

I felt this calming peace within
As your eyes peirced my soul
I saw the inner beauty
That I knew was there to hold

That perfect person in the room
Was there for all to see
For that perfect face that I saw
Was in a mirror in front of me

This poem is about finding yourself first. Seeing yourself differently and knowing that the way you see yourself, so will others. Believe that what you have to offer is what others want and others will want what you have to offer. (Wait I see a future poem in those last few words...lol)
