Dawn of Lighten
Dimly lit moonlight
Shines upon your precious face
You are beautiful
By Matt Homan

Co-worker wanted to express a haiku, and I enjoyed it, so I posted it.
He was inspired by the music titled "Dark Night of the Soul"   By Phillip Wesley

I am helping her out of the mirror
The girl who's crying...
The girl who looks like me
Her eyes are red from crying
And her heart is still raw
Trying its best to heal
But not doing so
The girl a sad expression
The girl with tears sparkling in her eyes
She is a lot like me
As I help her out of the mirror
I ask her what is the matter
Her reply was "I can't tell you"
I nodded my head and understood
I had felt that kind of pain before...
It hurt too much for her to tell me
How often I had felt that and so I understand
Another reason was because it was hard
For her to speak when she was crying
So very hard
Tears dripping from her chin
Heart ache too much to bear
Heart still raw from bleeding
Yet still containing love
More love than ever before
She can't help it
When I put my arm around her
To comfort her in her grief

She disapeared

If dreams were like you,
Then all my wishes would come true!

The music box was going
And the doll was dancing
Along with her mistress
And the were dancing
Barefooted on the hardwood floor
It was a dismal and shabby room
The floor was dark
It was old-fashioned though
In the time when girls
Would wear hair ribbons
In their hair and lace on their dresses
It was kind of sad
And I could cry
In looking back
'Til finally I looked in the room
But I can't remember
Whether they had vanished
Or whether they were
Standing still as a statue

I had some sad dreams last Night. And I'm quite sure one was about a girl dancing with her doll. I nearly cried. :'''( :''') ~<3

A Key hangs around my neck
On a pink ribbon
'Tis my Key to Wonderland
Whenever I wish to escape
To my own little world
I am free to go
Books and novels,
Fantasy and dreams,
Childhood wishes,
And daydreams
As well as writing
And creativity
Is my Key
Whenever I wish to go
I go
And dream of different things
My imagination runs wild
Pen to paper
Describes what I see
Either in pictures or in my imagination
'Tis my Wonderland and my world
I love dreams and thoughts
Hopes and wishes
For they all are different Keys
Each one takes you where
You want to go
In your imagination
Or in pictures
'Tis my Key to Wonderland
And it stays around my neck

Way back in the forest
There's a Herdsman's Cottage
Where it is so beautiful and everlasting
Where breezes soft and sweet
Chime out a melody played on the piano
Bass notes and high notes mingle together
In this beautiful world
Which I seem to see in my mind's eye
Where time has seemed to stop...
Lost in the veil of celestial melody
Nocturnal music now plays
Out a pristine symphony
My heart stops still
And I hold my breath
Listening to that music
That seems to good to be true
Played on that enchanted piano
Of bright mahogany
Played right in that forest
Where the Herdsman's Cottage is
Oh how I love it there
In my mind's eye
I'd love to stay here
But I can't
As the picture
All too soon

There's a girl in the mirror
This time she looks like me
She has tears on her cheeks
And her heart is broken
She has brown hair
And those blue eyes
And fair skin
I can see her clearly
She is crying. . .Even harder
She cannot stop
Her heart is broken
And I can relate
But all we are
Is illusions
We are heartbroken
Illusions
Crying our broken hearts

soul in torment
Morning fog
blankets
the yet sleeping world
with cold
wet
Dreams
Another fog filled morning and I should be sleeping

Castles way up in the clouds
Of the majestic sky,
Unicorns galloping
Up near rainbows,
Doves and horses gladly accepting their freedom
Fairies with their magical wands,
Gnomes sitting under trees,
Elves roaming Fairyland,
Dream worlds full of illusions,
Mirrors reflecting a girl or boy on the other side,
Swans floating upon lakes with their mate,
Oceans with their beauty of eternity,
Wells waiting for wishes to be made
Or coins to be tossed down them,
Never ending paths waiting for travelers,
Halls that go on forever,
Day dreams and childhood wishes,
Enchanted Cottages of beauty,
Pristine forests where Fairies live and dwell,
Waltzing flowers on a lone hill,
Forgotten treasures under the ocean,
Lone vast deserts,
Dew-drops on sun-kissed flowers,
This is my world of fantasy, dreams,
Illusions and imagination.

There's a girl in the mirror
And she's not me
She's a Princess in the mirror
With pretty curled blonde hair
And the softest blue eyes you ever saw
Hands of dainty white
Dress of sea-blue
A crown of emerald and jade
Sits upon her head
She isn't me only an illusion
Just a dream
On the other side of the mirror

Here’s the thing
sometimes it’s not the hero
that rides off into the sunset
At the end of the story.
In this life
Sometimes the villains win
And there really are no
Happily ever afters
Just the day after
And the day after that

This storybook life
Isn’t really something
You can chase after
Because you can’t
Hold on to a story
You’ll realize this
As the words flow
Through your fingers
And your illusions
Are shattered
Over
and over
And over
Again.
