Where exactly does my words go?
What happens to them in this starry, messy universe, we call home?

Sometimes, they etch themselves on the little edges of your heart.
Other times, they remain an incessant tune in someone's ear.
Its notes silently whittle away an unwanted scar.

The flitting alphabet of their voice behind your eyelids even when the dark envelopes you.
Sometimes, it fits safe and sound between the lines of your very fingerprint.

Others sink, permeate through your very skin, making a home out of you.

The artfully crafted letters, hemmed with that moment.
It lives and breathes in the sweet pockets of something we call
memory.
Hi there! x

I am rather curious to know how you wonderful writers get your inspiration from? Do tell, please! *wink*

i want to write poems about you
how you make me happy
but i lack the creativity
the right things to say
and i'm certain that you wouldn't care
anyway

Moments

It’s moments like these—
When your eyes connect with mine,
And I can’t help but fawn over their beauty.

Moments when your fingerprints leave
Invisible marks on my skin.
Branding me
Promises of forever,
A mere dream unspoken on your tender lips

Your kisses stealing
The end of my sentences
Murdering me soundlessly with every
Drawl of my name
And lingering glance

It’s moments like these,
When I thought it weren’t possible
Or not possible enough
That I’ve fallen even more in love
With your presence or
Your every word

Moments like these when I cannot control
The utter and irrefutable
Desire

The craving to be near you
To hold you
And just feel your existence

Moments that remain imprinted in my mind

drunk dials at 3:30 AM
all you've wanted
is some fun for the night
but i don't really mind it
you know i'm open minded
and i know you feel the way
that i feel for you
when you're finding it hard to take breaths
and we're close against each other
you say it in a whisper
it doesn't matter if you're sober
all i want is for you to come over
kiss me on my neck
and then on my shoulder
i want the feel of your skin on mine
it's like we've collided into a galaxy
no matter what i say i know you can't be mad at me
let's take a walk through the library
walking in silence
but letting our hearts do the thinking
i gaze into you
and your rancorous heart
transforms into a loving one
with only the capability of loving me
i sit in class and write your name upon my skin
i think about you a lot
and the drunken dial is the only thought i've got
i love you so much but you don't even know it
i've got your number
i want to call you
but i don't want to blow it
tell me i'm your little princess
you could be my prince
we can live forever in a castle
since we met, i've loved you ever since

I Forgive You

Don’t say sorry.

I reach down to the grass and snap off the stem of a daisy.

The sweet tang of it seeps into the air.

I give it to him.

“See, can you understand now? I cannot sew this.. daisy back. I simply can’t. I cannot put it back together or let it wander into its niche; its sun dappled world.”

Unforgiving silence fills in the blanks of all the words we wish to say.

I step closer to him.

“But you know what, when Spring comes in 365 days, after 525600 minutes of rain, grey skies, ice, hail, sun, blue skies and clouds, it will come back alive."
